Interviewed Feb 2010 (took a day)
Interview process concise, friendly. Essay writing required, leadership skills and project management skills a plus. Do not turn down a job with the FDIC - because so much of their process and candidate "scoring" is computer generated, once you decline and if you decide to reapply, the process begins all over - no moving to the front of the line!
You will be disqualified from consideration if your resume has not been entered before the vacancy close.

Reason for Declining
Could not get out of an unrelated private partnership at the time job was offered; regret that I did not take the job anyway; the partnership breached its commitments shortly thereafter, which is why I put my resume out there to begin with (knew they were up to something)! I was in asset management for FDIC contracts previously (in the late 80's and early 90's) and I loved working with this group. The Dallas, Texas and the Jacksonville, Fl. asset management teams are probably the best in the country - no offense to the other teams but these are seasoned people who know their field!
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a Background Check.
