Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Menlo Park, CA Jan 2013 – Reviewed Jan 31, 2013
Interview Details – I originally applied online for a variety of positions. I was contacted by Facebook to perform a writing sample for a User Operations role-- after doing this, a recruiter called me to do a brief phone screen and then inform me that they were interested in me for the Forensic Ad Analyst role. A week later, I had a 45 minute phone interview with someone from the team. The very next day, I received an email letting me know that they would be flying me out to Menlo Park to interview with the team in person. Facebook's recruiters are fantastic at preparing you for interviews. They sent me a ton of relevant articles so I wouldn't have to worry about going into an interview without exposure to this specialized knowledge. My in-person interview was 4 30-minute interviews back-to-back in a conference room with members of the team and its adjacent groups. Everyone was extremely nice. Offer was extended the next day (I had an exploding offer from another company so this might be atypical) and accepted within the week.
Interview Question – "We witnessed our ad revenue fall uncharacteristically last Tuesday for this region. How would you figure out what's going on?" Answer Question
Negotiation Details – No negotiation attempted.
Other Details - I applied online and the process took 2 months.
