Interview Details –
I had been a long time customer and knew the staff pretty much by name. The assistant manager at the time asked if I was looking for part-time work and I said yes. A few days after submitting my application in person, they called me in for an interview. The interview was fairly short since they had already made up their mind to hire me.
Looking back, having interviewed people myself for that position, I would say a longer interview process and more detailed questions would avoid hiring mistakes.
Negotiation Details – I was not able to negotiate anything...The hourly wage was set at $7.50 and hours were regulated firmly.
