Interviewed Dec 2010 in Washington, DC (took 1 week)
Several interviews, one with a IO Psychologist that over analyzed every answer given. I suppose that is his/her job. The panel interviews were actually more informal; chance to get to know the team environment.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Washington, DC (took 4 days)
Interviewer was very cordial. She expressed interest in my past experience, and asked questions that helped her understand my qualifications. I did not feel any pressure, or nervous at all. She expressed desire for me to be part of the team, but I was unable due to their strict guidelines for interns (must be sophomore or junior). The interviewer was obviously not the final decision maker. She said she had to talk to the hiring manager to see if they could take an exception to their rule. The manager declined.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Washington, DC (took 2 months)
I researched the company before the interview and thought of questions to ask when the interview concluded. The initial interview on campus consisted of just one 1:1 interview. I received an email from them asking if I would like to go to an in-office visit. That consisted of an informational session with three 1:1 interviews following.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Washington, DC (took 2 months)
Got the initial interview on campus, had a 1:1 interview. Their structure of interview is very laid back and they typically run through your resume and ask you to elaborate. Ask the usual "explain strengths, weaknesses, etc. etc." There weren't really any curveball questions.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Herndon, VA (took 2 days)
Pre interview prepared for questions concerning Fannie Mae current and future outlook. Was told to be prepared on questions concerning the HAMP program.
Actual interview consisted of a group panel that consisted of the PMO manager and a pm, however they seemed to be more focused around finding a perfect personality fit, along with overall PMO experience and the ability to deal potential difficult stakeholders and conflicting personalities. They were not clear on specific responsibilites, expectations nor projects

Interviewed May 2011 in Washington, DC (took a day)
I got the interview through the director of my program, the interview took one day, we first had lunch with the senior management. then we had two 30 min interview, one is basically behavioral questions like "tell me about this project you did, is there any way you can change the way you did it?"
Another is sort of technical, I was asked to describe the projects I did in a C++ class, and also asked about the real estate asset valuation method. another is a case interview, asked me how to choose two projects for fannie mae, basically you need to NPV and IRR are the 2 ways to evaluate a project.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Reston, VA (took 2 months)
A month passed before I was contacted by a recruiter regarding the position. I first had a phone interview where the interviewer was more interested in finding out if I was a right fit and had the right attitude for the position. He emphasized that he didn't want someone who thought like him. After the phone interview, the recruiter scheduled a 1:1 interview. Again, the emphasis was not on my work experience (since they could read that on my resume) but on my attitude and fit. A few days after the interview, I was offered the position. The background check took a bit of time but I started a few weeks ago and love the challenge.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
I received an initial call from an internal recruiter within 2 weeks of applying on the website. She proceeded to schedule me for a one on one in person interview with the hiring manager. While HR seemed a little confused with the scheduling and the process, communicating different interview times between myself and the hiring manager, the hiring manager was very on top of their game and asked a lot of behavioral and situational questions directly related to the position. She as very clear about what the position entailed and the challenges that presented themselves. After the initial interview, I was contacted by HR for another follow up interview in person with others in the team. Some similar questions, but the questions were more "fit" related. Overall the process was pleasant although I would recommend to check and double check with HR what's going on.
