Interviewed Sep 2011 in Reston, VA (took 2 months)
A month passed before I was contacted by a recruiter regarding the position. I first had a phone interview where the interviewer was more interested in finding out if I was a right fit and had the right attitude for the position. He emphasized that he didn't want someone who thought like him. After the phone interview, the recruiter scheduled a 1:1 interview. Again, the emphasis was not on my work experience (since they could read that on my resume) but on my attitude and fit. A few days after the interview, I was offered the position. The background check took a bit of time but I started a few weeks ago and love the challenge.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Reston, VA (took 3 weeks)
Initial phone screen with one of the risk managers. Discussed background, technical skills and why I wanted to leave old company. Face to face interview included management and technical team. I was asked stress questions about it risk, why I choose the career particular path that I choose, e.g going from technical position to a risk management position.
Advice would be to be well versed in technical and risk side of things. Also stress to the interviewers that you are willing to work long hours under deadlines.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Reston, VA (took 3 weeks)
Everything went really well. I was very impressed with Fannie Mae. They told me they would make a decision the day of my interview. The next week I was told I was one of two and after that there was no communication from them.
They have a behavioral and a Technical interview with the hiring manager
