Interviewed Jul 2010 in Olathe, KS (took 2 weeks)
they called me after submitting resume to come and take a personality/skills test on the computers. That took about 2 hours. Then the next week they called and wanted to schedule an in-person interview. So, the following week I had an interview with 2 supervisors. They were nice and asked about 7-8 behavioral interview questions. Also, after the interview they have you sit at a claim reps desk for about 15-30 minutes so you can see what they do and if this is something that you really want to do. Then a few days later I got a call that I was hired.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Group/Panel Interview and a Personality Test.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Olathe, KS (took 2 months)
I interviewed for two postitions at Farmers. Both positions were in inside claims, but different departments and campus. I would highly suggest reviewing behavior questions. Several of the ones that will be asked will be found on here.
1. How would you handle a difficult co-worker?
2. How do you handle change?
Be sure to have an example on any question on here.
I wasn't offered a postion and only found out by calling the recruiter and asking. Chances are they won't contact you. That is the only negative thing really.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Olathe, KS (took 4 weeks)
I applied to the company through my university's career website. The recruiter contacted me about the upcoming career fair at the university and told me to speak with him. I took a 30-minute multi-tasking test and a basic math/grammar test. The recruiter gave me a tour of the facility and took me to meet with my interviewers. I had two interviewers who asked behavioral interview questions. The interviewers made small talk between questions. After, I sat with an employee in the position I was interviewing for and got a taste of the basic activities they performed. I had another sit-down with a manager and a supervisor. The sit-down was an informal interview which consisted of basic questions about my future career goals and interests and hobbies to better understand my personality.

They initially see your resume and cover letter. Taken from interest there, they then contact asking if you were still interested and when you are, they send an email of a 30 minute multi tasking test. Upon passing that, they then email again congratulating you asking when you can schedule a phone interview. Once that is done, they will then tell you if you did well enough to come in to do a realistic job preview which is interesting!!! Then the application completion so they can do the background check....this is where it gets scary. Depending on what they are looking for in that check, be it more so work history and education, or credit check and criminal.....be honest. My fear is the credit check. Not too sure I will do well. They were amazing people. The hands on was awesome and the offices are extremely organized and clean!!! I havent gotten the call yet, they will call everyone Monday. Pray I get that call with an offer.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Olathe, KS (took 2 days)
The IQ/Skill testing and initial in person interview took about 3 hours. Then scheduled another interview with a panel of 3 and job shadowed for 30 minutes on another day. Was never offered a job. They thought that I was over-qualified for the position being offered. However, to take on a higher role would require experience in the industry so this leaves me to believe that people with experience in another industry are less likely to find a job here.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Olathe, KS (took 3 days)
I was contacted within the same day I submitted my resume. I went in the next day for skills testing and was granted an interview. I got an email a week and a half later saying I didn't get the jobs. The people are very friendly. My overall experience was okay.

Behaviorial Based Questions
Recruiter seemed like she was forced to call me and was unorganized, and late with the phone interview. I could tell that she seemed to me that she was unfriendly. She called to set up the interview process at 5 PM to set it up for the following day. The phone interview lasted 35 minutes but I got the feeling like the interview wasn't even a priority for her. I believe I would have had a better chance at being employed if the recruiter hadn't asked the questions like she was irritated.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Olathe, KS (took a day)
I was told I needed to come in and take the assessment they give all employee. The person I spoke to on the phone asked me a few brief questions about my background before I was asked to come in. She was very pleasant and friendly. The test consisted of math, grammer, muliti tasking test, typing, and a personality test. I did excellent on every part except the math. For the math I would reccomend reviewing your fractions, mixed numbers, and pie charts. The multi tasking part was very easy. I would reccomend taking your time. I did excellent on every section except the math. Since I did not pass the math, I can not reply or re take the test for 12 months. Everyone I talked to was very pleasant and helpful.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Olathe, KS (took 2 weeks)
I applied online for as a Service Advocate, but Farmers changed the position to Associate Office Claims Rep. I was asked to take skills tests at Farmers consisting of typing, multi-tasking, personality, and general knowledge (reading comprehension, math, etc). The scores are indexed. About a week after completing the skills tests, I was asked to interview in person. I interview for 30 minutes with two managers. The interview consisted of behaviorial questions - there were no questions regarding experience or qualifications. Following the interview I was asked to observe a Office Claims Rep and ask questions.
