Interviewed Mar 2009 in Chicago, IL (took 1 week)
I had a phone interview with a recruiter, then a panel interview with 2 distict managers and the senior center manager to which I would be reporting. I then had an interview with the Human Resource Generalist, which was the most difficult. The panel interview was easy.
Negotiation Details
No, I was not able to negotiate. They offered me exactly what I was making at my previous position, which I do not believe was enough. I have to be honest, I do not believe I was very experienced with negotiating salary, and if I was things might have been different
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, an IQ/Intelligence Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 3 weeks)
Pleasant phone interview with recruiters, I had two of these. then a one on one with a business center manager, Usual chemistry check, making sure you fit in with company standards, (not coming in in a t-shirt, cursing and brandishing a weapon-for example), then the surprise group interview. more of the same, really quizzing you on you responses matching the ones you gave the recruiter. They take a lot of notes and pass them along. Nice staff, group interview was a training exercise for new mangers I think and I was a little put off by their uneasyness. Position was not my first choice, and unfortunately I think that showed through in my interview. They did not tell me the shifts that would be required until my third interview, as an Assistant Business Center Manager you are required to work second shift and every weekend. As a student and father, this would have been helpful to know before accepting the interviews.

It was a smooth process with a good manager. I am sure if you get the wrong person in charge, many things could possibly go wrong in the process.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Dallas, TX (took a day)
Standard behavioral questions. A panel of three interviewed me - the hiring manager and (I presume) two members of the staff. They appeared to be using pre-printed forms from HR to ask the questions and to make notes. I imagine this insures that each candidate is evaluated as objectively as possible.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in San Diego, CA (took 5 days)
Applications are filled out and submitted online. If selected, you'll do 2 interviews. One with the Manager of the center you applied for and one with their District Manager. If you're offered the position, you start at the beginning of the next pay period. They do offer lots of training during your onboarding.

Negotiation Details
I wasn't able to negotiate, but because of my combination of skills and experience, I was offered higher pay. So it will be commensurate with your skill set. Each position has a pay range and it is also based on geographic location and whether or not you have a degree. You're on a higher paygrade if you're college educated. I didn't realize that 32 hours is considered full-time, but shifts can and usually do call for more than that, but be sure to let your interviewer know how many hours you need in order to accept the offer.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I applied online and got contacted by a recruiter the next day. Easy interview over the phone and she said she would have the HR Manager interview me shortly. A week later an interview is setup over the phone. The HR Manager calls me and our interview gets started.
I can barely hear her and while she is speaking I can hear car horns honking. I tell her about this and she tells me she is on a hands-less phone while driving, but to continue. Umm, let's turn the tables, if I as the applicant, were driving during a phone interview how professional would that look? So, it becomes clear to me she is not taking this seriously as she is obviously not taking any notes and seemed extremely distracted.
I withdrew my application as I have never seen such a rude HR Manager.

Interviewed May 2011 in Federal Way, WA (took a day)
I applied online and a couple of days later I received a call to come in for a interview. It was a 1 on 1 interview. The interview probably took 20 minutes, but I felt like it would never end. He had a packet full of questions. It felt like he was asking the same question over and over. "Give an example of a time you had to..." blah blah.
