Interviewed Sep 2011 in New York, NY (took 4+ weeks)
My initial communication during the phone interview was to gauge my understanding of technical matters that would be applicable to the specific position. It was more of a conversation rather than just a series of questions that I had to answer. The interviewer tried to get a good idea of what skills I could bring to the team and how my background could enhance the team, all in all it was very productive when compared to other interviews I had. After the phone screen I was brought in to meet 5 members at the bank (individually), some of whom I would be working with. Each interview was very informative about the culture and what is to be expected for a future employee. There were a few technical questions from interviewers who had specific knowledge about the role I was applying for, mainly to ascertain what I knew about the topic and to help fill in any gaps I had. This was something I really like about the interviewers, they all seemed willing to provide any extra knowledge to supplement my understanding of the topics. I would say all in all the experience was very positive and was an enjoyable experience (something which was very rare during other interviews). Future interviewees should use the outline of the position requirements to prepare for any technical questions and beyond that just be yourself and if you are a good fit with the team you should get the job.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took 1 week)
Interview was arranged between myself and two bank examination staff. Neither individual was kept the appointment and did not bother to notify me that they had conflicts. However they did call approximately 45 min to 1 hour after the scheduled time, expected me to talk, and then proceeded to rush through the interview. Neither was very engaged as they said they had other appointments to keep.
