Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 2 weeks)
Relatively fast process from initial phone screen to actual two-on-one interview took place within one week's time. Approximately one-and-half weeks later, phone notification by HR that they would be passing on my application. Fairly efficient compared to most large, corporate employers in the present climate.

Interviewed Jun 2008 in Saint Petersburg, FL (took 1 week)
Interviewed in a nice professional manner with my future boss. She was nice, to the point, and the interview was more like a conversation. I had to take a skills test in Microsoft office and they asked what analysis background I had. Overall a good process.

Interviewed Sep 2009 (took a day)
Grammar test, math test, typing test, the people in the call center are very worried about attrition, if you just show them that you are desperate for the job(don't be too desperate, be cool) and have no plans of leaving, you want to grow in this field of work and are willing to do almost any thing (within certain limits of course), like working night shifts, working with rotating weekends, you don't really need a lot of leaves etc you're gonna get the job

Negotiation Details
you don't need any experience to get into a call center, although experience in any field of work will get you a higher salary up to 1700 INR, all you need is a good command over the English language, if your living in India, you're going to be working night shifts normally, not very likely to give you more than a predetermined salary, there are other call centers that are willing to pay you a higher starting salary

I got the interview through a Staffing Agency and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.
