    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Finish Line in January 2014.

    Interview Details

The initial process is done online and remains true for the majority of retail chain sneaker stores as they usually do not accept in person solicitations and will only redirect you online, with the exception of a few I wont name. It is important to pass the online personality test to receive a call back, it's easy stuff if you answer according to what type of employee the company is looking for. Take little to no consideration of your actual personality and get your foot in the door, Assuming you actually like sales. As far as the interview goes expect the standard questions, availability and a few sales related others. Also don't forget the silly yet most important " Can you sell me this pen?"

    "Tell me about yourself"
    Why Finish Line"
Past employer and friends opinion on yourself. ex. if I was to ask one of your family members about you what is the first thing they would say. etc.
"Favorite and least favorite parts of most recent job"
"Job debrief" followed by "Do you have any further questions"

    Interview Questions
    • There was a couple of questions I was not prepared for and were introduced as silly questions used to understand the potential employee on a more personal level. They were as follows:
"What is your favorite animal and why"
If I were to look in the trunk of your car right now what would I find"
ended by "Can you sell me this pen?"

I applied online – interviewed at Finish Line in October 2013.

    Interview Details

I was actually interviewed by 3 different people, reasoning being, the manager and sales lead interviewed me, but then a new manager was named and he interviewed me a week later. Overall, they asked what i believe to be normal interview questions that most employers ask. I got hired on the spot and started training, within the next week.

    Interview Questions
    • The most difficult question was of knowledge of shoes, but they did not make that priority because they still will train you on each product.   Answer Question
