First Command Associate Advisor Interview

Interview Details – The company recruiting officer for the NE region contacted me via phone. He'd seen my resume on CareerBuilder.com. He was offering me an opportunity to be an advisor. However, I knew my personal limitations and skill set enough to know I would not do well as an advisor. Therefore, I offered the recruiter my listing of strengths and indicated my interest in a support role. Within 10 minutes, I had a callback. Within a week, I had a personal interview. Within 11 days, I was hired. Each office (outside the corporate headquarters) is proprietary. Therefore, it's important to look at any and all offices within your area to see how they operate. That will help you determine where you'd like to base your practice as an advisor. Another benefit of being an advisor is that your practice can transfer to any other FCFP office in the US. There are also offices in Europe and in Japan and Guam.
