    Technical Recruiter Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at FirstPRO (Philadelphia, PA) in January 2015.

    Interview

The single strangest interviewing experience I've ever had. I had an initial phone interview with the recruiting manager, which seemed pretty standard. I had a lot of hesitations about interviewing after reading some really bad reviews on here and other sites, but the conversation went well enough that I figured I would agree to take the next step. Next I had an in person interview over dinner with the recruiting manager and the owner's son-in-law. It went well enough that at the end they asked, at their suggestion, that I come in the office early one morning to meet with the CEO. 5 days went by and I arranged my schedule to be there bright and early. 3 days before the final interview, however, I received an email from the recruiter who submitted me for the position letting me know that they had decided to move onto other candidates and the reason I was given was that I was unwilling to go to their office during normal business hours. Huh? Wait. They told the recruiter that I had suggested coming in at that early time. Now none of this makes sense because if that time was unacceptable and I had suggested it, why wouldn't they have just said then and there it wasn't acceptable? Why? Because it didn't happen that way. So now I'm thinking this must be a mistake, so I reach out to the hiring manager for clarification. Indeed, a short time later I received a reply berating me for not making myself available during normal business hours. As you can guess, now I'm angry, the recruiter is confused, and no one had any explanations. The recruiting manager said at the end of the message he would reach out to me once they completed their search to possibly move forward. After discussing this situation with the recruiter, we both agreed that this was not the opportunity for me, so I wrote the recruiting manager a message asking to pull me from this and any future opportunities. I just couldn't work under someone who had outright lied about me and in doing so damaged my reputation as a candidate in the marketplace. So be very careful when dealing with them. They are most likely wasting your time or worse. Also don't believe what your told about them. I did some research before my first interview and most of the things I was told to be very misleading, a 5 min search on Google will clear everything up, which is why I had hesitations before I even interviewed. And after all of that, you're still comfortable continuing, more power to you.

    Interview

I was called and asked to meet with human resources and then the hiring manager. The manager was pleasant and the interview went fairly quickly. I met with two others and they described the working day, deadlines, goals of the department, and asked what value I would bring to the firm and the position. I was extended an offer within a few days,

    Interview

i was very impressed with this company. i saw a few positions listed online and decided to forward my resume. A day or two later I was contacted by a recruiter. We spoke via telephone then I was invited to come in to meet in person for an hour or so. When I went to the office I met with 7 or 8 different executives within that hour. It was very different. It was like speed dating almost where each executive would come in to the interview room and introduce him/herself, ask a few questions about your background and then let you know what relevant opportunities they may have available. The thing to note is they can not submit you to their client if you've applied directly within the past 12 months.... Everyone was really professionally and friendly. The office seemed to have a very high caliber of recruiters

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at FirstPRO (Philadelphia, PA) in June 2012.

    Interview

A recruiter contacted me to set up a meeting to go over my background. I got ready, went it, and she wasn't there. Apparently she was not in the office, but on a business trip. So someone else had to take me in and it was the most awkward thing. She was so rude. She was telling me that when going to interview for their clients, I have to be in black suit, waxed eyebrows, nice hair... Seriously? Thanks for the tips. I was going to show up dirty. Experience was awful.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at FirstPRO (Dunwoody, GA) in August 2011.

    Interview

The Interviewer asked some very inappropriate questions such as: Do you have Children? Do you go to Church? Do you have a car? How old are your children? All of which seemed EOE violations to me. The most inappropriate and most childish question to me was, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" What in the world would make you think I am not "grown up" when I have been a working professional for over 20 years. The Interviewer also assumed the information I provided was false, and did no research or contact of past employers or references. The fact it was interpreted as false, tells me the company is below my standards and is hurting. I was also asked if I were a member of any social network sites; again inappropriate. And finally, the feedback I received was that I lacked "personality". I have a BOA. The interviewer's mindset wasn't there, as if the interviewer had somewhere else to be. And the interviewer reiterated the responses to questions I gave in the beginning the interview, but falsely; as if to "test" me. I was extremely insulted, and I would rather pick up trash full-time than take a seven figure salary to work one week a year there.

Interviewed with this firm 3 times over 2 years. Ridiculous. They don't know how to hire and treat candidates. Especially for a recruiting firm.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 daysinterviewed at FirstPRO in November 2011.

    Interview

I met with members of FirstPro, Inc. in their Philadelphia office after I was contacted by a recruiter via phone. We had an informative conversation on what type of positions I was looking for. In addition, we discussed my background and current situation. At the conclusion, we both agreed it would be a positive to have a one-on-one meeting. A few days later, I traveled to their Philadelphia office to further discuss my background, my job search status, what type of position I am looking for, etc. At this time, the employee stated, "I want you to use me as a resource throughout your job search." So, at the conclusion of the meeting I walked away feeling positive about this meeting; however, that soon changed. I followed-up via email, called a few days later, then inquired about other positions posted on FirstPro's website. I received no answer. I find it unacceptable to constantly ingnore a client or potential customer. Especially, after you make every indicate you are very willing to "act as a resource". I do not recommend this recruiting company.
