Interviewed Nov 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took 3 weeks)
Flew me up to tour both offices. Was interviewed by 3 different employees within different departments. Pretty straight forward, never tried to trick me or anything. Pretty much gave background on myself, interests, and discussed my resume. Seems like an interesting business model. 'Open architecture' means you get moved to various positions every few years. If you do a few jobs well, will let you basically choose what you want to do.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took a day)
It is a pretty simple interview. I went in and met with the recruiter that contacted me in the first place. He took me into a room and then asked me standard questions, "Why do you want to work here", "tell me about a time..." After those typical questions, he talked about that the position consisted of (Account Executive).
After we were finished, he introduced me to two other 'bosses' and they interviewed me as well.
Basically, you have to interview all of the recruiters one after another.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
I basically consists of making hundreds of phone calls a day. If that is something you are interested in, then this is the right job for you.
I also wanted to be trained, and from what I was told, they don't really expect you to know anything. Just just want you to bring in clients so their 'experienced' workers can try to make the sale.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Vancouver, WA (took 4+ weeks)
Sent my resume online and a few days later got a call from a recruiter. Scheduled a phone interview. Basic resume questions and some questions about past expereinces. Then came down for a face to face interiew. Met with recruiter again and then with head acct leads and the vp. A few days later got offered the job. The office is just a big space with a bunch of rows of tables and computers. That is the way they like it with no cubicles. so you can here everyone around you talk. overall the experience was not worth my time. seriously, after talking to everyone I interviewed with I pretty much laughed at the idea of ever wanting to work there and at that job in particular.

Reason for Declining
all you do is call people all day trying to get one person to agree to an appointment with an outside vp. pay was low and i did not want to sit on a phone all day calling people who could care less to here from you. and the lead told me usually people do that for 2-3 yrs.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in San Mateo, CA (took 3 weeks)
I received a call the same day I applied for the position online. I did a few phone interviews before I came in with HR and team leaders. All of the people I talked to were friendly and easy to talk to, mainly just asking resume and sales experience questions. I eventually went to the office and met with them, speaking with 2 different team leaders and the group VP. Overall it was a good experience, but the position is basically just a telemarketing job. Be prepared to talk about Ken Fisher for quite a while.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Vancouver, WA (took 4+ weeks)
Got a call back one day after posting my resume. The first interview with the recruiter was easy- it felt as if they were selling me more on them than vice versa. A second call was scheduled with a manager that was also very easy ( why do you want to work at fisher?). I was offered an on site interview about a day later. They requested that I pay for my flight and travel Fxpenses, but after some negotiation they covered them. I had been told by others that working at Fisher may impede my chance to be hired by more prestigious firms later on, but I went into the interview intent on getting an offer anyway. The office is about a half hour north of Portland in an unlabeled one story building behind a wallmart. Compared to the other companies I had interviewed with, the office struck me with a degree of fear. The recruiter gave me a tour of the office- it was thousands of square feet of row after row of phones and desks. Theres was nothing to distinguish one department from another except the sex of the employees- it looked like some departments were entirely comprised of women ( marketing, recruiting) while most others were entirely comprised of men. It looked like they had they had taken the principals of industrial farming and brought it to the corporate world. It was very obvious they would never bring clients there.
I was taken to a second unlabeled building were they held the account execs. My first interview was with the recruiter, who was the highlight of the entire process. She was very young, although very kind, and only asked me resume based and behavioral questions- nothing at all technical. At times she seemed more interested in hypotheticals from my university experience ( what would happen in your previous position if X happened?) than actual firm questions.
My next interview was with one of the sales leads. I got the impression he hated his job. He described the Account Executive position as "mind numbing" and "frequently dull". He could have been saying this to see how I would react and if I could overcome the constant rejection that comes from being a glorified telemarketer at Fisher, but at one point he said "Ive been working here for a long time, and based my title, compared to a lot of the people I went to school with, I dont have a lot to show for it".
Lastly I interviewed with their VP of Sales, who seemed younger than the director but about 1000X more professional. He seemed more intent on closing me than vice versa again. When I told him one of previous big concerns about Fisher total assets under management ( the firms assests under management had dipped 50% during the market crash) was alleviated by the sales lead ( who claimed it had returned to near pre crash levels) he gulped and looked a little flustered. Flying out of Portland I was very certain I would get an offer, although I didnt think there was any chance in hell of me taking it. I was almost relieved when I got a callback a few days later with the "thanks but no thanks".

Interviewed May 2010 in San Mateo, CA (took 2 weeks)
There was an initial phone interview with the recruiting manager. That went very well. He was super chill. At times it was awkward because he would curse during the interview. I scheduled a 1 on 1 interview with him over the phone. I did my one on one interview and it went well. I talked to 3 group VPs. The interviews weren't structured too much, mainly conversation. Simple questions about past experiences and mainly walking through the resume. Salary was pretty much stated in the interview. For the AE role it was 30k per year plus commission which they said the average person makes 75k. The recruiting manager who did my phone interview facilitated the interviews throughout the day. He gave me feedback on what the VPs said about me (even though he said he wasn't supposed to). He gave me a tour of the facility. I met a few employees. Then as we walked out he told me that the next step was a mock phone call. He also added that he thought i was going to get an offer. It was weird to hear that from an HR rep, it was almost an unofficial offer. The mock call went well. It consisted of me trying to convince the other person to let Fisher Investments manage their money. I got feed back from the two individuals who did the mock call. I received an offer a couple of days later. It was for 30k (broken down by an hourly rate) plus commission. Benefits seemed good. no signing bonus.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
The pay was ok. It was misleading since it wasnt a salary, but rather an hourly wage. I mainly declined after reading the reviews on glassdoor. I was able to get a job that payed more without dealing with the hourly crap. I didnt want to feel like a cog. I wanted upward mobility rather than lateral.

Interviewed Sep 2009 in Vancouver, WA (took 1+ week)
I was recruited at a job fair. My information was given to a recruiter, and then I went through number of interviews. I had a phone interview, then was asked to come on-site for a 1:1 interview. The 1:1 interview lasted about 5 hours, and I was gradually interviewed by higher supervisors. 3 days later I was asked to do an on the phone mock-sales call and then I was offered a job later that day. I declined the offer because I was offered another job at a more desireable company.

Interviewed Aug 2009 (took 5 days)
Started with a discussion with a recruiter of questions and answers. Then we had a detailed phone interview. She was able to handle all of my detailed questions. I was called 2 or 3 days later to schedule an interview at the office. I met with the recruiter, had a tour of the facilities both with her and with a current employee in the role I was interviewing for. I also met with a direct manager and the vice president of the group. All very informative, tough questions from both sides.
