Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Flextronics (Owensboro, KY) in November 2013.

Interview

I was approached via email by one of their recruiters. Had a very pleasant phone screen interview with the recruiter, who scheduled an interview with the local site manager. That's when the process began to go awry. First, the site manager said he didn't know I was coming. He basically painted a picture of burnt out employees not meeting their goals because they were so under-staffed. Then he asked a question concerning my age that was out and out discriminatory. I didn't receive an offer and I'm glad - I left the site planning to decline any offer.

    Interview

I had a phone interview initially. I was asked standard questions about previous jobs and any technical experience I had. I was asked to describe a difficult problem I had in school or work and how I handled it. It was just like every other interview I've had and done for others. A second interview was done and it was similar to the first but this one was in person.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

I was able to negotiate but I did not. I took what they offered.
