I was very impressed with how down-to-earth and practical they are. They are *the* manufacturing experts.

Interviewed May 2010 in Plano, TX (took a day)
Interview suppose to be 3 hours, lasted almost 4 1/2. Interviewed with several people who all read the same questions from the same script. The toughest interviewer was HR. She didn't sit down for most of the interview and her phone rang constantly. She seemed to be disinterested in the process. She wanted to know two weaknesses and seemed to hone in on your response and try to apply how it would be an issue at the company.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took a day)
It wasn't much of an interview but more like a job briefing as they needed people to start immediately the next day. However, it means that they recruit operators with no job experience and without finding out the person's background or attitude before employing them, resulting in the company looking for temporary staff and they always have lack of workers because people join and leave so easily.

Interviewed Jul 2009 (took 6 weeks)
The company initially did a regular phone screening interview; a typical array of slow-ball questions. The recruiter then said he'd get back to me "one way or another" to let me know about the next step. Three weeks went by with no communication, then I got a call letting me know that they wanted to move the process along and would be contacting me to set up a one-on-one in a day or two. Two more weeks went by and then I was instructed to have a presentation ready in two days. I went to the interview with a full presentation (hand outs, PowerPoint, note cards, etc.); halfway into the interview, they let me know that they really didn't need a presentation- they just wanted to see if I'd do one. Also, the interviewers were not ready to interview- they were late and/or on the phone during parts of the interview. The interviewers tried to use clever questions, like how would I move Mt. Fuji; it was more the novelty of the question and not the answer- they chuckled at how clever they were.
At the end of the interview, they let me know a VP would be calling for a follow up & she dida couple of days later. We had a good chat & later that day I got an offer based on a clean drug test and background check. I filled out all of their paperwork & took a drug test. A week went by & then I got a call from someone at a background check company asking me for further info; a company I worked for was sold & they could verify employment. I emailed her the follow up information & waited. Another week went by and on the day I was supposed to start they called me to pull the offer with no explanation outside of "The background company will send you the information they found" & they did; they said they couldn't verify my employment, but when I checked with the HR person handling those requests, she informed she had NEVER been contacted. My credit was also an issue; my ex used my identity after we split to get some credit cards (which I didn't know about) & those credit cards were in default/written off, so I was deemed unworthy to work for Flextronics. The only thing they said was "A persons credit reflects their behavior and when one has made a series of poor choices that reflects upon their behavior in general."

Interviewed Feb 2008 (took 5 days)
not much to tell, it was the typical interview. sit down and talk to a couple people and never go into any great depth. seem like morons, but that might just be me. pretty ugly facility, most people seemed pretty sad about working there. it was almost poetic. one glance through there was enough to send me running. they probably did me a huge favor showing me the beaten down heard before i ended up becoming a part of this disgruntled mass of humanity.
Yes! it was that bad.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
first a phonecall from one of the recruiters then 2 days later group interview and extensive application to fill out then the next following monday you are sent to a training facility for 2 weeks 5 days each with all expenses covered but be carefull you can get fired there very very easily. upon completion on last friday you are required to take a test consisting of 5 sections of what you covered durring the training. unfortunatly every body can be easily deemed as phone smile and wait for you to make a light mistake
