    Interview

Behavioral interview that included competency words like 'courage', 'ambiguous', etc. in which you had to provide examples. Definitely study and use the STAR method.

    Interview Questions

    • Sometimes they ask questions that are hard to provide answers to if you have <5 years experience.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

My recruiter suggested an amount much higher than what the hiring manager was willing to pay. I felt like the hiring manager and the recruiter were not on the same page as far as salary and sign-on bonus. I was really disappointed.

    Interview

Interview process was disastrous. I received an email advising I was selected to participate in a telephone interview and that someone would contact me within 10 days with all the pertinent information. 2 1/2 weeks later I get a phone call to schedule the interview. I get online for the interview no one ever comes on the line. Two days later I get a phone call from the recruiter saying she received my message and apologized for the error and advised the phone interview would be conducted in the next hour. What the world?

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Florida Blue (Jacksonville, FL) in November 2012.

    Interview

Sent in my initial application/resume via their online website. It was quite lengthy and a bit tedious to fill out. Didn't hear back for about 4 weeks or so and then to my surprise it was an email asking if I would like to fly to Jacksonville for an interview (I did not live in Florida at the time and so I was expecting a round or two of telephone interviews prior to flying to Jacksonville). The first in-person interview went really well and seemed almost too easy. They sent materials prior to the interview to let me know it would be a lot of behavioral type questions, yet surprisingly there weren't actually that many of them. There were also very few technical questions despite their desire for someone with technical skills. A few days after the interview I got asked to come back to Jacksonville to meet with the same people and their boss. This again went well and the questions were still quite simple and easy to answer. A week later I was notified that I would be receiving an offer. It was a little bit longer than that but I did receive an offer. The salary was ok but it was the relocation package that was incredible. I had dealings with several other people in HR to help with the relocation and I felt very well taken care of.

    Interview Questions

    • What was unexpected was the lack of a difficult question. It was only over an hour when interviews I've had with other companies for a similar position were a full day event.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

Negotiating went well and as expected. Relocation was outstanding.
