Interviewed Oct 2011 in Dearborn, MI (took a day)
I first submitted my resume and a cover letter on the Ford Recruiting site. Then I was contacted via email to sign up for a formal interview on my college campus. I was interviewed by two Ford recruiters. It was a case interview so about half the interview consisted of my presentation of the case. During the second half of the interview, the two interviewers asked behavioral questions. This was my only interview and I did not receive a job offer. The interviewers seemed enthusiastic about Ford, and they conveyed a strong sense of community. In order to excel in the interview, knowledge about the company is key.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Dearborn, MI (took 2 days)
It was a very laid back two on one interview. They asked about my resume and wanted to talk in more detail about certain parts. When it came down to knowledge about Ford, they were very open-ended questions, allows for a lot of creativity.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Dearborn, MI (took a day)
Applied on Ford Careers website, I was recruited from Kenexa (Ford outsources their recruiting) about 22 days after. Intial phone call consisted of a job description and a small interview. We set appointment for a full interview the following day, about 35 minutes. After that an employee of Ford Motor called me a week later to do another 35 minute interview. Then after waiting a week, I was selected by e-mail to attend the Talent Management Conference. This is something that Ford performs twice a month after they round up all of the candidates including other positions. Thank you to another Glassdoor Interview review because it begins at 7am EST. Ford provides a free breakfast at the hotel but it begins at the time you have to leave to attend, so pack your own breakfast. The Talent Management Conference layout is a little different depending upon the position. It consisted of two interviews a General Interview 2 vs 1 from HR and a Technical Interview 2 vs 1 from employees within the department you are applying for. One part was a Group Meeting where they sit four candidates down and watch how you argue your case study that was given to you consisting of a two-page summary and bullet point recommendations. The average tenure for assessors is 15-30 years at Ford Motor Company.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Dearborn, MI (took 3 weeks)
If Ford wants to attract new talent to the city of Detroit, they need to revamp their interview process.
After submitting my information through the company website I was contacted by email to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was interesting, straight to the point, and increased my interest in the position. A week later, I received confirmation that I would be flown out for a one on one interview. Ford HR sent travel instructions and a case study to prepare for the 2 part interview.
2 days prior to departure I received and email informing me that the interview process would start at 10am (please note that I was coming in from the west coast). Perfect I thought.
Upon my arrival in Detroit, I received another email informing me that the interview was scheduled for 6:30am the next morning! (3:30 am for me) First of all, who interviews at 6:30 in the morning? Due to the time difference I was unable to go to sleep until 2 am local time... Basically, I was working on just under 3 hours of sleep and no food (they didn't even provide snacks, fruit, or cereal). Needless to say that my performance was less than average....
Had an offer been extended I would of immediately declined the position. This is no way to treat people, especially if you are trying to get them to move to beautiful Detroit.
Dear Ford, thank you for wasting my time and your money.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Dearborn, MI (took 4 weeks)
Screening interview with a Finance supevisor and then initial interview with a supervisor & Director (2:1) to present a finance case on capital budgeting. The interviewers also asked several behavioral questions. I was later invited to Ford management Talent Conference, which was all paid for including food and hotel. In the conference, I went through a one hour behavioral interview (2:1), then a group interview, lunch and learn session and finally technical interview. In the group interview, 5-6 finance candidates presented a case and worked together to come up with one recommendation. In the technical interview, I had to present another case which was a further twist from the last case.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Dearborn, MI (took a day)
First round on campus. First part was to review your analysis of a case they sent about a week prior. Then a few behavior questions and a short time left to ask questions. Flew to Dearborn a few weeks later, had to reach a consensus with a group of four candidates on another case they sent. Then an hour-long behavioral interview followed by the presentation of an analysis of another case.
