Interviewed Aug 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 months)
Phone screen is first step, followed by 2 to three rounds of on-site interviews, for a total of 10 to 12. Interviewed with hiring manager on two different occasions. Several interviews with colleagues in other departments. Highest level interview was with a VP. Fit is key--maybe most important, especially for smaller departments. Once it's clear you're competent, the company wants to make sure you're personable and would be easy to work with.

Negotiation Details
Some room for negotiation. Do your homework--know the salary ranges for your position and the next one up, if possible. Use prior work experience with specific examples as leverage (years of experience directly correlates with level), and if possible, work directly with HR versus through a recruiter.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Apr 2011 (took 2 weeks)
Was contacted for a phone interview after I applied for position through University recruiting site. Was screened by HR during phone interview and asked to travel to HQ in NYC for second round. Met several current employees for 1:1 interviews from different teams (though they couldn't tell me which team I would be on). Was given an offer within days and was given a background check.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took a day)
Phone screen by HR followed by phone screen by hiring manager.
HR phone screen was really about salary and why Forest etc. 20 min.
Hiring manager screen was 45 minutes and very thorough with a full review of my resume, reasons for moving, some examples of the types of work initiatives.
In-person interview with 4 1:1 managers.
Very repetitive -- each one went through some of the typical behavioral examples of major work and achievements.
It did appear at one point that this was not a position they were in a hurry to fill since about a year! At which point it became very obvious this was an opening that was there to protect existing people.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Commack, NY (took a day)
Had a phone interview with the hiring manger and then a one day on-site interview. During the on-site, met with the HR and each person in the group. On the following day, took another phone interview with the department head and got feedback from the Recruiter right after.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 4 weeks)
Phone interview was conducted on time and in an organized manner. The in person interview was disorganized. New employees were doing the interviewing and it seemed like they found out they were doing the interview when I arrived. Nothing was prepared and nobody seemed to know who the point of contact would be as far as an offer goes. Did not hear from anybody after the interview.

Interviewed Sep 2008 (took 2 weeks)
First interview was with hiring manager. I did a roleplay selling a fictitious drug for migraines. The second interview was with the hiring manager and another manager. I prepared a presentation for a current promoted product. After that I had an interview with the regional director. After that interview, I had to go for a drug test before receiving official offer letter.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Jersey City, NJ (took a day)
Initially had a Phone interview. Then called for personal interview. After than I did not hear any news. I called the recruiter and she told she will check with the Mgr and call me. No response. I emailed and still no response. They did not even reimburse my interview expenses. I would stay away from such unprofessional companies.
