Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
I walked in the store and asked if they were hiring. The associate gave me an application and instructed me to speak with the store manager who was on duty once i filled out my application. I filled it out, came back in the same day, and introduced myself to the manager. The manger decided to give me an on the spot interview. She asked me a few questions and explained a few more specifics of the position. At the conclusion of the interview I was offered the position.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Raleigh, NC (took 4 days)
After I handed in my application I was called within one hour to sign a consent form for a background check. I was told that once this passed I would be called in for a group interview. They were really good about letting me know when they would contact me every step of the way. When I showed up for the group interview consisting of around 13 or so people we were all asked to stand one at a time and say our names, what position we are applying for and why we wanted to work there. Very easy guestions to answer. It was not personal at all, which is good if you have bad nerves like I do. I do suggest that you dress professional but with good style. After the interview I made sure that I personally approached the interviewer, shook her hand while introducing myself personally and told her more about why I would be good for the job, it obviously helped. I was called back for an easy orientation the next day and worked happily there for several months before I had to leave. The training is good and most managers were pretty easy going. They start you off at a slightly higher pay rate than stores like them.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Los Angeles, CA (took 1+ week)
I was actually shocked to have such a bad experience during the interview process for a corporate position with a large company. This is how everything went down:
1st recruiter - I exchanged emails with a recruiter and she said she was sending my resume on to the appropriate people and will be back in touch.
2nd recruiter - I hadn't heard back from the first recruiter in almost a week. Then I received a very unprofessional email from a different recruiter who was handling the position. It was a blast email, not personalized, not addressed, everyone was BCCed and the subject line was in all caps with tons of exclamation marks at the end. This was an immediate red flag for me because if a company is interviewing for a corporate position, professionalism should come naturally - it should everywhere but we tend to let things slide in retail stores with the younger employees. However, I noticed this recruiter was very junior, so I decided to set up the in person interview after all - everyone makes mistakes when learning.
In-Person Interview - Ten minutes before the interview, I called the recruiter - no answer. Called again - no answer. Called the main line - couldn't get through to anyone to save my life. I was on my way but was running about 2 minutes late because of massive traffic (I ended up not being late at all). When I arrived, the first thing I noticed is the neighborhood. Now don't get me wrong, I've lived in the hood before but a corporate office being in the middle of such a terrible area is just ridiculous. There are 3-4 parking lots, all disgusting and looked like shady stuff happens there all of the time. There were cars piled on top of each other and absolutely no room to park anywhere. So again, I call and call the recruiter and main line - again, no connection to anyone.
And that was the end of the interview process. I left and didn't look back. Major red flags this early in the process, I know better than that.
They missed out on a good thing because I'm highly experienced and creative.
I gave the company the benefit of the doubt, I wanted to see first hand what they were made of rather than jump to conclusions based on its reputation. However, this experience seems to be well-aligned with how the company is perceived in the fashion industry and on par with the reviews.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Boston, MA (took 2 weeks)
the Boston location is in desperate need of visuals because they all keep leaving, so I figured I would come back to the company as a visual (I had worked for almost a year as a sales associate, then moved home for a few months). I figured it would be easy to be hired back, but the visual manager wants me to go through everything a regular applicant would because she didn't know me that well from my time as a sales associate. I first applied in mid December and never heard back from anyone. I came back in January after the holidays and asked the store manager if I could set up an interview with the visual manager and she said she was away on a family emergency til next week. I came back the next week and finally set up an interview with her.
For the interview she asked me a few questions about visual standards and why I would be a good employee. Then she wanted to clarify that for me to become fulltime I would have to do a really good job at proving myself. she gave me a look when she read my requested salary.
After that, she had me assemble four outfits to emulate the four seasons, gave me ten minutes to do it. absolutely nerve racking. she liked them all except the winter one, which was admittedly heavy on the black. After that she had me merch two racks, and was happy with my knowledge of color and corporate standards. She said she'd talk to the store manager about me and look at my record from working here as an associate and call me back in a week. a week came and went and no call, so I went in the next day and she said she'd schedule me an interview with the field manager over the weekend. I never received a call over the weekend so I called Monday morning to find out the visual manager is sick. My condolences, but some sort of phone call would have been nice. I talked to a manager the next day and they said they'd text the store manager (who was also out sick) and see if they could arrange something with the field manager, so now I'm waiting for a call back from them. I'll probably have to go back in tomorrow.
Overall, this process has been unprofessional on their end, and I've done a lot more work than necessary to try to secure a job I should have been able to get in much less time. I understand they are busy, but that's why I'm applying, so they can be less busy. It's just very frustrating, and if I didn't have so much history with them I wouldn't even bother continuing to pursue this job.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
Went to the Forever Job fair in Manhattan, it started at 9 AM. Waited for about 3 hours on a line before my turn they were calling 10 people in at a time but once it was time for my group to go they called 20 people so they'd have time to see everyone. Basically the manager introduced himself and just asked one question went around the room then picked several people to stay behind while the other ones left and that was it. I waited on a line for over 3 hours for one generic basic question

Interviewed Nov 2011 in San Diego, CA (took 3 weeks)
i went through two interviews before receiving the job offer. The first interview was an open group interview at the mall. They do these job fair things where anyone can go and apply. The questions were simple, such as describe a time when you had to go above and beyond and take charge of something. You also had to pretend to sell something that you were wearing. I pretended to sell a necklace that I was wearing. I also dress really cute to the interview, wore something kinda boho chic in order to show I had a sense of style. The manager was super duper nice. There were two other girls in our interview and it wasn't stressful at all.
I then got a call a week later for a second interview. I ended up being late to the interview! I got stuck in traffic and it was in a different location in the mall than it was the first time so I ended up getting confused. I walked in apologizing to the manager. We then had to go around the store and pick out an outfit that the manager described. It was pretty simple. She then had a messy section of the store that we had to clean up. This was ALSO a group interview. 10 other girls!! I was shocked. SO in order to stand out in the crowd when she told us to clean up I went to the section no one else was cleaning up. When the interview was over I again went over to the manager and apologized for being 15 minutes late

Reason for Declining
I ended up getting a call a week later receiving the job. I was excited until the manager told me that I had to go to this orientation that was the same day as a midterm I had!! I was completely devastated so the lady told me they would put my application on file and they would contact me the next orientation they had since they only had one....... yeah that was 3 months ago. Oh well

Interviewed Dec 2011 (took a day)
It was pretty simple. Took only 20 minutes or so. It was a group interview of around 8 people and one interviewer which was the hiring manager. She only asked us 3 questions which were: tell me about yourself, who is your style icon, and if you were stranded in a deserted island what 3 things would you take. She was really nice and funny. Made you feel at ease. She said she would call in a week for a second interview but i haven't gotten a call. I heard that sometimes it takes weeks so who knows.
