Very Easy Interview
I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Forever 21.
Interview Details – Initially contacted by HR recruiting for a one hour screening interview and then set up an interview with the Regional Manager. Interview was extremely informal, not to say unprofessional. Regional Manager took me to a bench in the mall in public view and asked about basic questions regarding background and experience. Manager said HR would contact me within a week to let me know if I was selected for future consideration. A month went by with no answer so I finally contacted HR and nobody has responded my email so far.
Interview Question – Very basic questions like "Why is customer service important"? It didn't feel like the type of questions you would ask a district manager applicant. Answer Question
Very Easy Interview
I applied in-person and interviewed at Forever 21.
Interview Details – I was shopping at the store when I noticed they were having a hiring event (basically a manager at a fold up table in the front of the store with applications). I filled out an application and she asked me a couple questions about my previous work experience. I got a call later that day to come into the store for a group interview. There were about six of us in a circle going around answering the manager's questions (nothing tricky). Everyone in my group got the job (except one girl who was late). Dress cute and smile.
Interview Question – How important is customer service? Answer Question
Negotiation Details – No negotiation, minimum wage.
I applied in-person and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Forever 21 in February 2014.
Interview Details – Open interviews, was interviewed as a group, asked to go out on the floor and help customers to show what we could do.
Interview Question – Just going out onto the sales floor to help customers, trying to convince them to buy something they hadn't planned on buying. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There wasn't much negotiation. Just: this is your job, this is your pay, see you at work!
I applied in-person and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Forever 21 in March 2013.
Interview Details – I received a phone call about a week after I applied. The interview was a group interview. There were about 8 of us. The questions were your standard retail questions, ie how you would handle certain situations.
Interview Question – The most difficult question was how you would approach (or if you should) someone who you suspected was shoplifting, which is not even a very difficult question. Answer Question
I applied online and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Forever 21.
Interview Details – They have 4 people interview you at the same time, which I'm 99% sure they do it as a scare tactic, which didn't work; It just makes the entire interview inefficient. 3 out of the 4 people asked questions that were completely irrelevant to the position, which also showed that they were in there, just because, and really didn't have any idea what they were talking about.

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 6 months - interviewed at Forever 21 in March 2013.
Interview Details – Went thru a recruiter for the position. It went well however the director changed focus to put me on a different line. After almost 6 months of back and forth interviews and two "projects", I met with the owner. His only question was if I was korean, basically I did not get the job because I was not Korean or knew other koreans.
Interview Question – Multiple projects were required for the interview process, free work and consultation Answer Question
I applied in-person and the process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at Forever 21 in October 2011.
Interview Details – This particular location does mainly group interviews from what I understand. I was in a group interview the first time, and when I got a call back for a second interview, it was also a group interview. I believe they mainly look for style and how in-the-know of current trends you are. I don't think it matters how bad you are at the job, basically.
Interview Question – How would you handle a situation where you think a customer stole something? View Answer
