I was interviewed by three recruiters as the same time. All of them are from maintenance department. First, they asked me questions based on my resume. Then they asked me if I am familiar with the maintenance job. After that, they asked some formal questions like "What would you do if you meet a conflict with your supervisor? Finally, there was a paper test about some mechanical and chemical engineering questions.

It is a tightly connected inter-personal community, which means that it is much easier to get an interview or an offer if you know someone from inside, just like any other companies. Referral could possibly make the interview a "stamp process". A test was given, but a general passing grade is just what is expected. It is hard to say who is the decision maker, it could be the first person during hte interview process, although who may not be the top-positioned person during the whole process.

I send my resume to the company via internal referral. After one week, I got a phone interview. There were 4 people in the line. One factory manager and 3 other technical people. They ask me to introduce myself, my Ph.D. research. Why do you chose their company? Do you have any idea what their company do? Some behavior questions like what is the most difficult part of your Ph.D.? What is your weakness? Some technical questions related to my research. Also let me ask questions about the company and the job. Very nice feedback I got from them.
