Interviewed Oct 2011 in Mumbai (India) (took 3 weeks)
First I got a mail from the company's HR asking for the resume. After 2-3 days I got a call saying that a phone interview would be held after 2 days. The interview was taken by Sr. Manager and all basic questions were asked like educational background, previous experience, profile, expected profile, office timings prefered, etc. Then based on this interview I was called after 3-4 days by the HR for a 1:1 interview which was taken by supervisor/manager. Again the basic questions were asked. questions reletaed to Mutual fund and industry were also asked. Third and last round took place after 1 week. It was a video teleconference with Sr. Analyst from US. questions were more logical this time like various work situations and scenarios/hurdles and your response/handling to them, objective of taking the job, etc.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Apr 2012 (took 6 weeks)
Phone interview initially with basic questions and resume review. Was called back 2-3 weeks later for a 1:1 interview at one of their main offices. Office interview questions were close to or almost exactly the same as the phone interview but with a different person.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in San Mateo, CA (took 2 weeks)
A phone call from the hiring manager to come into the office to chat. The face to face took about 45 minutes. It started out with "Walk Me Thru Your Resume." After that, the hiring manager basically talked about his team and the related work. The office was very quiet and didn't seem to have many people around his area.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took 2 weeks)
Very detailed process, and they really nail you down to the last bit to ensure you are the best candidate for them. In a way it is a good process too as along the way, you start thinking to yourself if all the scenarios they put across are what you are good/comfortable at dealing with and it this is the best fit role for you.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in San Mateo, CA (took 2 weeks)
Interviewing with Franklin Templeton was a positive experience, despite my passing on their offer. Their HR department is very accommodating and helpful in relaying/answering questions.
The campus is nice, as are the managers that I met with. Didn't feel like a fit for me. Very rigid, almost IBM feel to the organization.
Carefully consider the growth opportunities and the market rate for your position before accepting anything.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
Very uncompetitive pay. About 20-25% below market rate. Didn't seem like there was a great deal of job advancement opportunities.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a Group/Panel Interview.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Berkeley, CA (took a day)
The woman who interviewed me was very friendly and nice. She just asked me general behavior questions like what makes you a good leader, what is your leadership style, what is your greatest achievement, etc. As the interview was wrapping up the interviewer said right there that she thought I would be a good fit, and that they would be in contact, but then I never heard back.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
I never heard back from them, even though the interviewer said that I would be hearing from her.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Saint Petersburg, FL (took 2 months)
First off, it is super hard to even get an interview. I finally was able to get to the interview process once a former co-worker was hired on to the specific division I was looking at. I have interviewed for three separate positions and from my experience it seems that they are very reluctant to hire anyone from the outside. It was suggested to me for two of the three positions that I start lower and put my time in before moving into a more senior role. The role that they recommended me moving into is very similar to the one I have been doing at a competitor for about 3 years.
