Interviewed Oct 2011 in Salem, VA (took a day)
I applied online and was called about 3 weeks after I completed the application online and then I went for the interview and spoke with the supervisor for about 15 minutes who told me the jist of the jobs and what it consisted of and went over the benefits. I then met with the Manager of the office and talked for an hour and a half going over how I would handle various situations that may occur in the office. I was told that I would hear back from them in 2 weeks but I didn't hear anything for 2 months.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 2 months)
Used a recruiter to set up and negotiate the interview process. This was extremely helpful. I communicated through the recruiter and through email with the company. Met with theManager, Area Manager and area VP. Three separate interviews. This was costly in time and travel. Was a standard interview, not the behavior situational type interview. The interview sessions were pleasant, the interviewers were easy going, professional.

Not much. They say they use a complicated formula that puts your work experience, area wages, blah, blah, blah, into a computer back East and it gives them the wage they can offer you. I had the head hunter to facilitate the negotiation, I felt they were supportive of my goals, but we did not get the wage I wanted, but it truly might have reflected accurately my skills and experience. However, remember the wage you start out with is the wage you get. If you actually get any cost of living or merit raises, it will be 1-3 percent maximum and that is a big IF.

HR person was irresponsible, did not let me know the interview schedule until the night before the interview. That was just for that particular HR person I am sure the rest of them are very professional

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 2 months)
I interviewed and received the position. The team which I was hired for appeared to be disorganized. The hiring manager did not have all of the paperwork which was needed for me to become an employee. I was given a start date and no further communication for the next 3 weeks except initiated by myself to the manager.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 2 weeks)
Applying for the position online gets you nowhere and you will not receive a call back. You must actively pursue management and really show that you are interested by making phone calls and mailing/faxing resume and cover letter to the unit you are interested in. Once you get an interview it is smooth sailing as long as you have dialysis experience.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 1 week)
I interviewed with the acute coordinator. She was very professional and didn't grill me with questions. She briefly went over my resume, then proceeded to tell me about Fresenius, the position, what to expect, and answered all of my questions. It was a very good experience.

Interviewed Jan 2009 (took a day)
Called the company at the referral of a friend. My timing was perfect and I was interviewing within the day. Received phone call that day of job offer. Dress professionly! The work culture is friendly and laid back within management. The clinic floor is busy, clean and run very well.

i should have negotiated a higher wage, but it was fair. Ask for a little more than you want... you might get it.

Interviewed Apr 2011 (took 4 weeks)
Applied through the company career website. A few weeks later I was contacted for a phone interview. The interview involved speaking with two members of the engineering team about my experience and behavioral questions.
I was later contacted for an interview at the company. The interview consisted meetings with various members of the engineering department. Each interview was 1-on-1, and they discussed their specific departments and how they work with the overall product. There were also general engineering questions on topics such as logic gates, op-amps, and transistors. I'd also recommend researching the company's products and dialysis treatment in general.
Overall the interview was positive. The engineering team was friendly and the company culture seemed very team oriented and open to collaboration.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
My experience was good. They were very organized and detailed on what the position entailed. All my questions were answered. Policies and protocols are all up to date and thorough. I had my initial interview with the clinical manager. One week later I had another interview with the VP. That same week, I completed my personality survey. The following week I was able to meet with the facility charge nurse to find out the needs of the facility. The VP and Clinical manager was very supportive and showed interest in me taking the position. No pressure was added. I believe that because of the history of the unit, the VP wanted me to be familiar with the facility before I was offered the position.
