Interviewed Feb 2012 in Miami, FL (took 4+ weeks)
I applied for this position at my University's career fair, they called me 2 weeks later to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was very basic and straight forward, no trick questions, no behavioral questions. It seems the recruiter was more interested in finding out about my work experience and academic background, and my general life background. The next step was for me to take a 1 hour online personality test, where they out you in (around 11?) case scenarios simulating the work environment and asking you about how you would respond. For each scenario you are offered four possible ways of responding to the problem/situation and you have to pick the "would most likely do" and a "would mostly likely NOT do" for each scenario...
After this is done, 5-7 days later they call you to set up the next interview, which is a one-on-one in person interview with a manager/director from the local region's office. This interview was very fair and straightforward, more of resume review "explain your resume to me" and "why do you want to work here?" and "why do you feel that you are a great fit for our company?" My interviewer was very blunt and honest about the challenges working there, and he seemed very sincere, down-to-earth and realistic, he made it known that the position was very difficult and challenging, in regards to both work content and work hours. He did not do it to try to discourage potential candidates, but instead to make sure everyone has an idea of what they are getting into and so that there are no surprises later which made me really respect his honesty and character. The questions were more focused on my background, previous work and academic experience, and a detailed explanation of my resume as well as questions to find out what drives me and what my goals and expectations are, they also want to try to get a feel for what kind of a person you are.
The final interview is an in-person panel interview with 3-4 people at the regional (not local, regional) office, this is where I am in the process.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Modesto, CA (took a day)
I only got as far as a phone interview with the company (as I lost interest upon being told it was for the night shift). Very typical phone interview that included discussing your education and past employment. Be prepared to give detailed information of what you did for former employers. I believe this is very important in their interview. After discussing education and past employment they will discuss scenario questions with you. Below are some of the questions I was asked.
Asked scenario question such as:
Describe a time that you overcame conflict in a team situation.
Describe a successful event in a team situation.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Plano, TX (took 2 days)
Frito-Lay did a wonderful job recruiting. We first had interviews with 2 people on campus, then about a month later we were flown to Texas. The first night they had a dinner with lots of HR employees and executives at Frito. Then we had 3 - 45 minute interviews which were standard behavioral interviews. We also were given the opportunity to tour a manufacturing facility. Overall it was a great experience.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Modesto, CA (took 3 days)
The intial contact with HR was thru a thirty minute phone interivew, which consisted of two or three behavioral questions.
The second interview was an all day interview that lasted about 6 hours. It included a panel interview with six individuals, the applicants rotated through groups of 2 panel memebers.
Lastly, I was invited back for a job shawdow, by the end of the week I was offered the position.

Reason for Declining
Frito Lay typically hires engineers or business majors for their Operations Manager positions. I graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering and once through the process realized that the off shift hours, long hours, and lack of engineering work did not appeal to me.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Phoenix, AZ (took 3 months)
University of Arizona and Arizona State grads were recruited for this position. If initial interest is taken then you are invited to a lunch/dinner with other candidates where the process is explained in fine detail (seems a lot more personable then an information session). After the dinner, and if still interested, candidate applies and then has their first interview within 2 weeks which is a face to face interview lasting an hour. If successful, the 2nd and 3rd interview take place the same day with HR and with senior level management. Upon review and if you are deemed to be a fit to culture and the position they will get you an offer. They expect you to work anywhere from 50-60 hours a week for a flat salary of $52k. If one does the math it seems as if they are better off working for another company at an hourly rate equating to $30k a year only because with the 10-20 hours of overtime you can achieve the same financial compensation. However, if one realizes that the company, its people, and the opportunities are viewed as equivocal factors to income, then its a win-win situation.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Baltimore, MD (took 2 days)
The company was very quick in responding to my resume, conducting an initial phone interview, and then scheduling an interview on campus. The one on one interview went great, or so I thought, but I was denied to move forward in the interviewing process.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Columbia, TN (took a day)
This was an internal job posting for already employed associates. Would have been for a promotion. Questions revolved around experience, how would I handle customer complaints and issues. The competition far exceeded me in experience and, as such, it was a courtesy interview. Had I been an actual contender, the interview might have been a little more involved. No fault to the company. At least I was given the chance to compete and will have an edge for the next time a similar position comes available. The interviewers were professional as always, and relaxed. If this is your first time applying with Frito-Lay, give it your all. This is a great company for which to work.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Charlotte, NC (took 5 days)
The interview consisted of three 20 minute interviews with 3 different people from different parts of the company. They all asked the same type of questions based on leadership, motivating people, and situation, action, result scenarios. I stayed consistent with my outlook on leadership and used different examples for each person. I also did not wear a tie and this worked perfectly because they were all dressed more business casual.
