Interviewed May 2010 (took 2 days)
Well I happened to get lucky with the timing. I applied for the job and three days later it was closed, I interviewed for the job before but did not take it at the time. Bad decision. I interviewed again a year later. they were hesitant about giving it to me because I did not take it before. They made me an offer and I took it. Best decision I made.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 6 weeks)
This was the longest process I have ever gone through for a job. First when I applied online there was a personality test. After I passed that, a few days later I received a phone screen. Once I answered the phone screen questions, then I was invited to a informational session. At the informational session, the spoke about the company and described the position in detail. At this time they informed everyone that it was a new position and that it currently paid $14.40 per hour. If you were still interested after the informational session, you then signed up for a "ride along." Which in this instance meant you followed around one of the RSR's for a day and were able to see what the job really was. The informational session indicated that you were just supposed to observe since you were not an employee and were not going to be paid, but when you got there, they started handing you bags of chips and basically you were working for the day. I got an short day because there were only 1 of the 2 stores to go to that day. My day lasted 6 hours where others days lasted in excess of 8 hours. We started at 5am at Walmart. Once you passed the ride along, a couple of days later you were then invited to an interview with 2 of the Managers. After they decided if you were worthy, you were then invited to a final interview with a couple of higher ups. If you made it past that test (and it was a hard fight as they stated they were hiring about 6 people out of 45 that went to the group interview) then you were offered the job and instructed to take a hair test for drugs. This tests back 90 days. I finally started 2 weeks after the initial offer. Although I don't remember any of the actual questions, I do remember they were in depth questions and were not fluff. Overall, it was a great interview experience and the hardest one I have ever had to go through. I do hope it results in quality hires. I know I am one! ;)

Negotiation Details
There was no negotiation. It pays $14.40 per hour bottom line. There is opportunities for advancement and it is my understanding this is THE entry level position now for all RSR's and above.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Kansas City, KS (took 6 weeks)
To start there was a somewhat lengthy online application to fill out which included a personality test. If requirements were met then you would receive an e-mail to join an informational interview where a presenter tells you amongst a group of candidates what the job entails detail by detail about a week or two later. At the end of the informational group interview you sign up for a time to be interviewed by two district managers at the same time. After a week they would contact you let you know if you made it to the next interview which is by the regional sales managers. Should you pass that then pending a drug (hair follicle) and background check you will be made the offer.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Nashville, TN (took 3+ weeks)
Very professional. Applied online and got a call 5 days later to set interview date. First interview was 2 people. Questions were a surprise: "How can you ensure that you will get to work on time?", "Give me a time when you've had to work a flexible schedule?", "What do you know about the position?", "How do you ensure you can get to work?". Nothing hard but entry level.
A week later, an "experience" day (a route ride) is set up. You work with one of the Sales Representatives, in theory, to see if you like the job or not. Don't be fooled. It is also part of the interview process. The RSR has to fill out a questionnaire (I wasn't privy to the form) about how you dressed, how you acted, did you ask questions, etc. You are NOT supposed to help out or do any work but....just don't get hurt. Liability is on you if you do.
The next "official" interview was more what you would expect: " Give me a time when you failed a customer and what did you do to rectify it?", " Tell me of a circumstance that made you proud", "Why do you want to work for us?", "Tell me of a difficult situation with a customer and how you resolved?". Second interview was short. First was about an hour; second was about 20 minutes. Drug test (hair samples) and background check. This is a very professional, all business company. If you are used to dragging and hoping to get by, don't apply. You will work; you will be professional...basically what you should provide for them paying you!!
A big point for me...after visiting "the office"....everybody was very friendly! Everyone said "hey, how are you", looked me in the eyes and waited for a reply. Most seemed genuinely happy. So happy people with a good business sense. Seems solid....
