Interviewed Apr 2010 in Pune (India) (took 2 days)
Company had contacted (by a telephonic call) our college placement cell because of the reference given by one of our batchmate employed in the same industry but with a different organisation.
The only condition put forward by the company was that the candidates apparing for an interview should be really good in English and preferrably should be passed out of a convent medium school.
In all there were 3 rounds of selection process.
First round of interview was with the company sales manager.
He asked us about our genral background, the qualifaction, then why do we want to work in a real estate firm, have we seen the company website, do we know about the current projects of the compnay going on in the city (Pune). Then he asked me weather it is right to build the concrete jungles in the city when we are facing serious problems of global warming. (My answer was we can not deny the need of building up the concrete jungles firstly because company is into the same business secondly population is growing with a the rate never before and we do not do it some one else will do it for sure and lastly now the green technology of construction has evovled to tackle the same.) Then he briefed us about the current residential projects of the company.
On the same day, we appeared for the second round of an interview with the GM - Sales and marketing of the company. He asked us to discribe ourselves. Then he asked me about my previous company and the job profile and asked me if I wont swith the job if I get an opportunity to work in a similar industry. (Basically he wanted to make sure that we won't leave this company for considerable period of time) Then he briefed us about company and the job profiles (one was sales executive and the other one was for customer care executive). Then he asked us which profile we think we would be best suited in. The next question was weather we would be fine working on sundays. Then the discussion went on to the expected salary and finally he said we shall get a call for further formalities if the company finds us fit for the job.
After couple of days we got a call from company for 3rd round of an interview.
In the 3rd round we had to clear a small tutorial on MS Excel.
An interview which followed then was with again with the GM - sales and marketing.
He discribed us about the job profile he would be offering to a particular candidate, and about possible joining date.
We got the offer letters on the same day.
