Interviewed Aug 2011 in Lynn, MA (took a day)
Even though this program is geared more towards engineering than the OMLP program, the interview is still 100% behavioral. Absolutely not a single question testing theoretical concepts.
The interview process begins with a 5 minute presentation about yourself. You can use the format given to you by GE or develop your own format.
Afterwords you are interviewed by five employees for 1 hour each (5 hours in total)
1st Interviewer: General Questions (Ex: What has lead you to want to work for GE Aviation?)
2nd Interviewer: Work Experience (Ex: What was the most difficult project you work in?)
3rd Interview: Scenario (Ex: Tell me of a time when you had to deal with a difficult person in a group/company)
4th Interview: EEDP Interest (Ex: Are you considering the EEDP Classic or Cornerstone Program?)
5th Interview: Interests (Ex: If you could learn more about a section of the engine what would it be?)
Interview Questions
Q) What distinguishes you from your peers at your GE internship/co-op?
Q) Tell me of a time when you took a risk and how you evaluated your risk
Q) Tell me of a time when the goals of a project where changed and how you adapted
Q) What technical/academic knowledge has surprised you the most in your career?

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took a day)
Interviewer didn't seem to really care what your experiences were. He would just write everything down and not react to what you were saying. Therefore many times he would ask a question which I had just answered with my previous statement.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Grand Rapids, MI (took 2 weeks)
The interview consisted of one introductory presentation to a panel of five followed by 5 separate interview with the same individuals. The panel consisted mostly of senior engineers and managers. The interview was 100% behavioral base.
If you want to highlight your engineering skills try to say as much as you can about the projects you were involved in school in a 5 min presentation.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Grand Rapids, MI (took a day)
I first showed interest in obtaining a position with GE and at Purdue Job fair. I gave a rep my resume and he kindly showed me how to apply online. Within a month or two I heard back from an company rep saying that they would like to interview me on campus. After that interview I was asked to go to Grand Rapids, for another interview in a couple months. The interview at the GE plant lasted half a day and consisted of an initial presentation given by myself and the other candidates to a panel of interviewers. Then there were 5 to 6 rounds of one on one interviews with various managers. It was about two weeks after the interview that I received my offer letter.
