Basic behavioral questions. Although my interviewer spent alot of time answering my questions about what they do, I also emphasized my interest in the aviation industry, and my current skills.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 4 months)
The interview process consisted of two phone interviews and an on-site interview. The process seemed a little disorganized, as though there was very limited internal coordination and communication. I was invited for an on-site interview approximately two months after the two phone interviews. The on site interview required the better part of the day and consisted of panel interviews with various teams as well as 1:1 interview with management.
The questions asked during the entire interview process were behavior based. There was obviously an approved GE interview playbook, with little variation from the approved questions. Be prepared to answer the same question several times with different panels of interviewers. A typical sampling of questions:
1. Describe a time that your project failed and how you handled it.
2. Tell me about a time when you had trouble receiving criticism.
3. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult person.
4. Describe a time when you took a risk and how you evaluated your risk.
5. Describe a time when you disagreed with your manager and how you handled it.
6. Tell me three things you are proud/not proud of.
My interview seemed to go well, but after three months I have not heard anything.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Cincinnati, OH (took 1 week)
Received interview invite be email. Had eight interviews the same day. They did a great job making me fell comfortable with the process. Most interviewers were interested in "can I work with this guy". Several were more technical based. No games, tricks, ect... Be prepared! Review the typical "tell me about" questions on sites like Monster.com. Complete your paper work prior to showing up, one guy didn't. This was one of the easier interviews I have had. Started about three weeks later. So far, I love it. Good luck everyone.

Interviewed May 2011 in Hamble, England (United Kingdom) (took 1 week)
Excellent hiring and interview process, I applied online through the GE careers page. I uploaded my CV and a covering letter explaining why I wanted to work for GE Aviation. I then received an email with a time for a telephone interview. After satisfactory completion of the telephone interview I was invited to a 2:1 interview between the department manager and Human Resources Intern. There was very few engineering questions asked, the majority of the content was behavioral and the manager was more concerned about my willingness to learn and be interested in the products.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Cincinnati, OH (took a day)
Normal Interview with a lot of behavior based questions. Asked a few questions about things on my resume and how my previous experience would make me a good fit for the company. Lasted a little over an hour and was fairly laid back.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Lynn, MA (took a day)
From what I remember, the interview was strictly behavioral. I interviewed 1-on-1 at my college, and the interview lasted about 30 minutes. My interviewer was very cold and strictly business, and I didn't think the interview went overly well, but they seemed more concerned with my strong qualifications because they still offered me the job.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Cincinnati, OH (took a day)
Interview consisted of a 5 minute presentation on yourself, a 1:1 technical interview, and three 1:1 behavioral interviews. The last part was a group exercise which focused on teamwork and leadership.
All of the interviewers seemed like they were interested in what I had to say. They want to see leadership so make sure to stress your leadership roles.
