Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
The interview was pretty relaxed, mostly questions regarding why I wanted to work for the company and what would make me a good fit. Also, the interviewer asked me a good deal of questions based on projects and experience that I had on my resume. The interviewer was a senior engineer and seemed to know a good deal. I thought the interview was going to be dealing mainly with the energy branch of GE, but it was highly focused on their industrial solutions branch.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 3 weeks)
I met with a recruiter and was asked mostly behavioral questions about myself. I was also asked some things such as location preference as well as about hobbies. The interviewer was very polite and although some questions were a bit awkward, I don't feel as though they were difficult to answer. A couple weeks later I received an email asking me to accept or deny a phone interview, I accepted and a couple days later I had the interview and the recruiter for that 2nd interview seemed like he had his mind made up and was just confirming my interest and letting me know more about the position before a formal acceptance letter was sent. In fact, he told me I'd be receiving an offer on the phone before we hung up.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took a day)
They just ask many situation questions like, "please give an example of when this happened and how did you handle it". Just be ready to talk about alot of experiences you have.

Negotiation Details
There is pretty much no negotiation. They end up sending you an email with how much they will pay you per week (usually a good number anyways) but you either accept or decline. Oh and you get about 2 and a half months to accept or decline so you have time to choose what you want. you do have to accept the internship before you know where you are going so it's a bit of a gamble if you have a certain place you'd like to work.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 2 weeks)
Initial communication was by e-mail and my contact was generous enough to allow a wide range of time slots in his (busy) day.
The interview was pleasant with a good opportunity for me to learn about the company.
A disappointment (though not unexpected) was that little detail was forthcoming regarding the duties of the Co-op position or the unit I would be assigned to.
The interview will be followed up by further communication before an offer is discussed.
