Interviewed Jun 2010 in Greenville, SC (took 3 weeks)
I applied online and had one phone screening interview with HR and was asked to summarized two projects I had worked on. The HR person then forwarded this on to the hiring manager. I was then asked to do another phone interview with the Hiring Manager. Then I flew down for a group interview. Each interviewer was big on working in teams and mentoring others at GE. I was told I would receive a letter from GE in two to three week on their decision. It's been two weeks now and I have not received any emails from them. My online status still says I'm in the interview process.

Interviewed May 2010 in Greenville, SC (took 3 days)
A phone interview was followed by an on-site interview where I met with several managers, and senior engineers. The onsite interview was an all-day event, and I was able to tour the Facility and meet several key people at the company. The interview was very friendly and I didn't get grilled. I gave a 1-hour presentation of my previous work, which was followed by 1:1 interviews with managers and senior engineers.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Greenville, SC (took 2 days)
There were 5 interviews about 45 mins each. They generally asked about the same questions, all behavioral.
If you just say you want to work for GE for the rest of your life you are likely to do well.
Just make sure that when you answer a question in one interview you remember your answer, a similar question might come up later and you have to answer them about the same so that when the interviewers compare your responses they know you were telling the truth.
