Interviewed Sep 2010 in Milwaukee, WI (took 1 week)
Got the interview after submitting my resume on the college job board, heard back a few days later from a few of the branches. Each interview was 1:2 ratio, usually with alumni from my university who had gone through the Edison program. Very behavioral interviews, not technical questions at all. They want someone with a good attitude and experience somewhere.
NOTE: If you interview with more than one branch (i.e. Healthcare, Lighting, etc) and more than one branch wants to make an offer, you have to select from which one you would like to receive an offer. GE does not compete with itself for you.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Waukesha, WI (took 3 days)
Interview process started with a telephone interview with an HR manager to discuss employment history and performance, goals, career drivers etc. Then the company flew me out to Wisconsin to do 6 separate one hour interviews with other HR managers and business leaders. Everybody was very professional and helpful, overall an impressive organization.

Interviewed Apr 2009 in Milwaukee, WI (took 4+ weeks)
Long phone interview, maybe 50 minutes or more. Lots of experiential questions. A few questions on working with teams, past successes and failures. It seemed like they were seeing if I was just a techy guy or could communicate well with teams. Guess I didn't pass that part. I also got asked a lot the basics: strengths, weaknesses, lessons learned, secrets to customer success, examples of projects written in different coding types.
