Interviewed Dec 2009 in Aberdeen, Scotland (United Kingdom) (took 3 months)
HR got it a little wrong, did interview, got letter saying I was'nt successful. Requested detailed feedback to be told i had'nt failed but my salary expectation was too much, questioned what they thought I had asked for (uplift of 1-2k more than current), this was accepted by prospective manager who invited me up for a coffee, spoke to him for 10 mis before being shown around by prospective colleague who gave the thumbs up to my manager after scoping me out. Got an offer then waited 4 weeks for Kroll background checks - always sucking info and progress from HR, never being fed it!!

Not much, 2-3K on top of my existing salary BUT and its a BIG BUT the relocation package was OUTSTANDING - a lifesaver in 2008 when GE bought my house as house prices plummeted and sales stopped. Thank you GE!! This was a deal clincher.

I applied In-Person and the interview consisted of a Group/Panel Interview and a Drug Test.

Interviewed May 2010 in Singapore (Singapore) (took a day)
First there was a briefing about the position. Then we 4 candidates were given a schedule. We need to follow the schedule to meet different managers by different order. I remembered one is HR, one is Application Engineer manager, two are operational coordinates manager. I was asked some technical questions.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Houston, TX (took a day)
Received a phone call from the hiring manager with regards to setting up a phone interview. Standard behavioral based questions. After the interview, received and invite to interview at the factory. Waited awhile before I got my interview itinerary. The time from phone interview to on-site interview was probably 3 weeks. On-site interview consisted of two two person panel interview and one 1-1 interview. All behavior based. Toured the factory. Overall environment was great. Very impressed with the plant leadership. Lots of opportunities from a continuous improvement side.
