No Offer – Interviewed in Houston, TX Jan 2013 – Reviewed Jan 24, 2013
Interview Details – The process began with a quick assessment of reading comprehension and spatial awareness followed by a brief phone interview with an HR associate. The phone interview consisted of general questions about why you are interested in GEICO and if the required three month training is an issue. Overall, the phone interview is pretty basic and the associate was pleasant to speak with. Following the phone interview, you are required to complete and email a driving history report. I was notified my driving record was accepted and was scheduled to meet with an adjuster supervisor. Upon arriving at the location I was made to wait 30 minutes past my appointment because the person I scheduled to interview with had gone to lunch. The first part of the in person interview was essentially the same as the phone interview. Very basic questions are asked as the interviewer types on a computer, There is very little feedback as the interviewer hardly looked my direction. Following a 45 minutes session, I was asked to wait again for a period of an hour while they set up an assessment. Once I was brought back, I was told the assessment was a scenario that consisted of completing tasks a typical claims adjuster may complete during their day. The assessment was fairly easy if you follow the instructions and took about 2 hours to complete. I was supposed to interview with the manager following the assessment but because of the delays I was unable to that day. The process is straightforward but I found there to be a lack of organization or professionalism while there and ended up withdrawing my application.
Interview Question – All the questions were fairly basic with no surprises. Answer Question
Other Details - I applied online and the process took 1 week.
