I applied online and got an e-mail response asking for confirmation about attending a job fair. I attended the job fair and was brought to a huge conference room with at least 200 other people. When my number was finally called, I was taken to another room where a brief screening interview was conducted for about 5 minutes. The only question that was really asked was what my best contribution had been at my previous job. I was then taken to another room that had about 20 tables set up with interviewers. When my name was called, I was brought to a table and asked about what my career goals were for the next 5 years. I was expecting to give specific experiences from my previous work, but that was not asked. I was just basically asked if I could work a later shift and then was told how soon they are looking to start the next training class.

Contacted by recruiter. Set up interview. Spoke to Area Sales Manager. Sent in required documentation. Received Offer.

Not a lot of negotiation except for sign on bonus. Was able to negotiate a little more than offered.

Fairly detailed review of my resume and job requirements by recruiter. 1:1 phone interview with a Manager in another department. Panel interview with hiring director and two VPs. Everyone was pleasant to talk with a kept the interview process low pressure. I believe this was because they were not sure if the position was actually approved and funded.

Interviewed Mar 2007 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 3 days)
Relatively easy. Met with HR contact at GMAC, and had a preliminary interview. Felt the HR person knew little about what the position entailed. Second interview was with the hiring manager. Interview was informal, not so much about behavioral testing. Mostly talked about my experiences and what type of career I was aspiring to.
