    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Garmin (Chandler, AZ).

    Interview

Pretty standard Software Engineer Intern interview experience. I had my technical interview well before my HR phone screen which I thought was very odd. During the technical interview the two guys conducting my interview left the room.. which I thought was also very odd. This defeats the purpose of seeing how I solve the problem and only looks at my solution.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Garmin (Chandler, AZ) in February 2015.

    Interview

I found the job posting for Lobby Receptionist through Google and Garmin's website. I received an email from their recruiter at the main headquarters in Kansas five days later to schedule a phone interview the next week. The phone interview lasted 28 minutes and I was told the Front Desk Manager would be making a decision to further the process within the next few days. I then received a call later on in the day from the manager. My on site interview was scheduled for a week later in a meeting room with the Front Desk Manager and the Front Desk Supervisor. Both were very professional and friendly, the interview questions came off as the company wanting a Lobby Receptionist that fit the initial description exactly. This on site interview lasted 35 minutes and I was informed a final decision would be reached in a couple of weeks.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Garmin (Chandler, AZ) in February 2013.

    Interview

The environment there is pretty nice and pleasant. I was kind of nervous since that was my first interview ever. After talking with the recipient for a while, everything began to go smooth. An OEM manager interviewed me. We firstly talked about project experience on my resume. Then he asked me something about my understanding on OO programming. Then some basic technical questions about string and classes.
