Interviewed Jan 2010 in Olathe, KS (took a day)
I had two interviews, one with a human resources manager and one with a functional area manager. Both lasted 60-90 minutes. In depth background interview, some situational questions. Lots of "remember a time when" questions. Salary requirements were important to them. Nice offices approximately 30 minutes south of Kansas City, Missouri.

Interviewed Nov 2008 in Olathe, KS (took 3 weeks)
I was contacted by recruiters through LinkedIn, as they were coming to my area for a career fair. i met with a line manager and the HR recruiter. Questions were either non-technical or very light about my experience on the resume. i then was flown to Olathe for an onsite interview. about an hour with HR for situational/personality questions. Then i had a 2 hour interview with "team leads". i brought a code sample, as requested, and I reviewed it with them. I asked lots of questions and got a good insight into the workings of the company. I then got lunch at the nice cafeteria and then a tour of the facility by another Software Manager. I got an email a day later saying i was grand and an offer a few days later via email.

Reason for Declining
Relocation to Kansas was not ideal and the the reduced salary of the offer made the decision easier. Cost of living adjustment for Kansas was not accurate, in my opinion.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview and a Skills Test.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Olathe, KS (took 3 weeks)
I was contacted by phone to come in for an interview after applying online. For the interview, I met with an HR representative, followed by an interview by a manger in the department I was applying for. As part of the second interview, I was asked a series of technical skill questions related to the position. I gave my portfolio presentation for both interviews. A few days later I was contacted by phone to come in a second time. I first met with another manager in the department, followed by a more casual panel interview with three team members from the department. I gave my portfolio presentation for both interviews.
I was contacted the following week by email by the HR representative, who told me that the company would be checking my references. I was offered the position a few days later.

Interviewed Mar 2008 in Olathe, KS (took 1 week)
The interviewer asked a number of inappropriate questions about my current company including details about their benefits. I was also asked about how many interviews I had and with whom. I felt this was not relevant not to mention inappropriate to the position at hand and was pressed even more on the subject. Needless to say I did not get a call back and am hesitant to apply for positions with this employer in future.
