I applied online and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Genentech in September 2009.

Interview Details – applied online + employee referral. Got phone interview in a few weeks. Interview was casual and not very detail revealing- very general information and not really specific about project to be involved in. Also asked about non-project related experience. Perceptions : leader was not in group of his/her expertise and was either reluctant to specify or not sure of project to be conducted, however, this also indicates alot of freedom and flexibility in the job.

Interview Question – Tell me about yourself (background, project)   Answer Question

Onsite consisted of a presentation, about 10 1:1 interviews with people in the department, lunch and dinner. All very smart people, interesting conversations.
