Interviewed Nov 2011 in Ottawa, ON (Canada) (took 3 weeks)
Initially was asked few background questions whether I was born in the country and whether I possess a citizenship in any other country.
Once that was completed was asked to come in for an interview in ottawa, that was lead by HR lady and three engineers that were part of the test team.
Typical questions were asked on why I wanted to join the company, where I see myself in 5 years etc.
Was asked to give examples of debugging situations or experience I had from school.
Was asked to give 2 pros and a con of Object oriented programming.
The first interview took 45 minutes. Through email I was asked to another interview that would be a teleconference between a person from calgary, ottawa and myself. Similar questions were asked during the second interview.

Interviewed Jan 2008 in Calgary, AB (Canada) (took a day)
First I met informally with the hiring manager. He decided he wanted me on his project, then he got Human Resources involved. I met with the manager and HR, and was offered a position. There was a large amount of paperwork to complete for security clearance, but it was fairly straightforward. This company's hiring decisions appear to be based on short-term need rather than long-term strategy. It really helps if someone inside the company champions your application.
