Interviewed Mar 2011 in Mechanicsburg, PA (took 2 months)
I applied online and got a call back a week later. I met with the hiring manager a week later. I arrived early and was sitting in the lounge waiting while a few of the employees in the lounge decided it would be a good idea to make lewd, sexual remarks about me as if I couldn't hear them. I ignored them and finally I was approached by the manager. He seemed friendly and asked very simple questions. He then told me to expect a call within a week or two. Waited and waited... Then decided no thanks. Two months later, the manager finally called asking me to come in for orientation. I declined.

Reason for Declining
I finally lost interest in the position because of the rude co-workers I would of had to deal with and the distance of the store from my location.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 5 days)
I Submitted an application online and within a week someone called me to schedule an interview for that day. It was my first interview, and I was obviously very nervous, but my interviewer was very nice and the questions were fairly standard from what I've read. They asked me about myself, why I wanted to work there, and my availability. I answered everything a bit shakily but I was still accepted to move on to training!

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Richmond, VA (took 4 days)
I applied online and I had to follow up via phone call when I had lost the other job I gained in the meantime. With this in mind, calling them back took me about 2 1/2-3 weeks and they made no attempt to contact me first. As soon as I called, they needed to pull my file and said they would call me back if I fit what they were looking for. I also said my availability opened up too so they added that to their consideration before calling me back. They called me within 2 hours of the phone call to schedule an interview for two days later. The interview literally took 3 minutes and she just asked me what I liked about my other jobs. She asked another filler question, and when I asked her about hour availability because I want to work a lot and need the money, she said they never give less than 12 and can give PT workers up to 32. Picking up shifts is where they see a lot of hours because people call out literally everyday and if they see you're reliable, you will in turn get their hours.

Interviewed Aug 2010 (took a day)
Completed on line application -- can be done in store if you don't have computer at home. A few weeks later received a phone call and received appointment for an interview with the hiring manager. After hiring, had an orientation session with other new hires that was conducted by hiring manager. Watched video segments as part of orientation. Had computer training on operating register, scanning products, handling cash, checks & other methods of payment -- tested after completing each segment. Hands on training with an experienced cashier and then put on own register.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 5 days)
I came in not very prepared and did not know what to expect having been my first interview. I came in and they had me wait at the front of the store for about half an hour. The store manager came and led me to the back which i assumed was for employees but looked more like a crime scene. He asked me questions like why i want to work for Giant and what i would offer ,both of which I chocked on. He told me that they'll call me if I was hired, though i knew that it didn't go well. I failed but atleast I looked nice doing it. : /

It was a quick process, a lady called me, gave me a date to come for an interview, went to the interview, declined their offer because I was looking for something else.
