Interviewed Aug 2011 in Gilbert, AZ (took 2 weeks)
I applied online and had a call back within a week for a phone interview, they asked some basic technical questions and some "what would you do in this situation" type questions. A week later I was called into a face-to-face interview with some of the lead technicians where they gave me an IQ test and a written technical exam (not too difficult). All the people that I had contact with at GoDaddy were very professional and easy to talk to, all in all a good experience.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Scottsdale, AZ (took 3 days)
Group interview process involving team lead, another developer and development manager. Asked questions about my development skills in general, past projects, and why I wanted to join the team. I know from past experience that certain developers have a penchant for asking difficult 'riddle' style questions, but I didn't get asked any of these type of questions during my interview.

Almost nothing - it was an internal position doing the same thing for a different group. When applying for the same job, it seems like nothing is up for negotiation -- only the position itself.

Interviewed May 2011 in Cedar Rapids, IA (took 2 days)
I applied online and then was emailed to come in for an orientation. At the orientation they talk about all the benefits of the company and then you have to take 2 quizzes and then a mental awareness test. The fisrt quiz was easy and just asked commons sense questions. The 2nd quiz was some technical questions. These are questions like what is an example of a blog and then there are 4 answers to choose from. The the hard part is the test and there were 120 questions and it is timed and u only have 10 secs a question. You have to pass by a certain amount to get an interview. Then once you pass you get an interview. At the interview I was asked mostly technical and sales questions.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in Scottsdale, AZ (took 2 weeks)
first was a group screening, then a couple rounds of personality and IQ testing, after which many people were dismissed. HR then selects from that group who to set up a 1:1 with. That consists of some basic sales and IT concept questions. Culture is very laid back. casual dress code

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Gilbert, AZ (took a day)
This was a phone interview with the hiring manager, team lead and senior C# developer. The questions were "very" technical and I felt very unprepared, even though I consider myself a good C# developer. My advice is "do a LOT of homework" beforehand. Even if you think you're a good developer, make SURE that you know very technical information. They WILL grill you.
Questions I remembered:
- Why are you looking to switch jobs?
- How good of a C# developer are you?
- Describe an interface
- Tell me about dead-locks that can occur in a multi-threaded application
- Is it better performance-wise to use a cursor in a stored proc?
- What is the difference between a struct and a class?
- Have you used JQuery UI?
- What would your manager say are your strong suits?
- How would you pass an array to a stored proc?
- Have you worked with ASMX/web services?
- What are the benefits of using SOAP/HTTP over binary data from a web service?
- How can LINQ be used other than for querying data?
- Can LINQ be used on a List?
- What are some of the features that you've used with ASP.Net 4.0?
- How often do you release builds?
- Have you worked with MVC? What is it?
- What are some issues with using ViewState?
- How would you setup pagination of data?

Interviewed Feb 2009 in Scottsdale, AZ (took 1 week)
This place creeped me out. I was contacted via a Go Daddy recruiter or a position. The salary discussion was a little above industry standard so a face to face interview was scheduled. I arrived at the Go Daddy HQ located in the Scottsdale airpark and the first thing I immediately noticed was this didn't look like your typical corporate HQ. It was in a single story office suite typically reserved for doctors, lawyers, or Payday Loans. Walking into the lobby you are greeted with a security guard behind a metal cage and several security cameras pointed at you. Seemed just a little different for what should be a high tech company.
I was met by the recruiter and he had me do a IQ test to test for "basic skills". The test was elementary school level, which made me suspicious of the the typical Go Daddy hire. Afterwards I was taken for a tour of the building and two things to mention; the facility was in really poor shape where I was constantly seeing water damage, and they had some prospective Go Daddy girl that they were parading around the office and while I think the commercials used to be funny this was the part of the interview that really skeeved me out. A bunch of acne faces and greasy hair practically groping and posing with the prospective Go Daddy girl.
Anyway, on to the actual interview. Yeah, I'm sure my misgivings were fairly obvious to the panel but it was quickly apparent that I was more qualified than the hiring manager for his role and at one point I questioned the manager when he was describing a project they were working and asked him why they were deviating from best practices... When the manager tried to play it off that I just answered his question by knowing that, one of his reports started chuckling. Yeah, didn't go well. No offer. And the annoying thing was they never contacted me regarding my status afterwards.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Scottsdale, AZ (took a day)
First I was given a phone interview that is very basic to make sure you are what you claim to be on your resume. After that I received a phone interview the the manager who was doing the hiring which was pretty basic and just went over the job requirements and how I would be able to fill them.
After passing the phone interviews I had an on site interview with the a couple of the managers. Before the interview you have to take a 22min IQ test with around 120 questions. All the questions are pretty basic but there are some numeric pattern questions that can catch you off guard. I was unable to finish seeing I skipped a few questions on the way. The time really flies during the test and it is pretty tricky.
The interview consisted of going over my resume and then some behavioral interview questions. Then I was giving a SQL statement case study which I failed because I had used SQL in the past but it had been a year so I was extremely rusty. The rest of the interview went well.
A week and a half later I received an email stating they were offering the position to someone else. I thanked them for the time and inquired what my shortcomings where to help me improve for interviews in the future and they said they wanted someone with more SQL experience.
