Interviewed Feb 2009 in Scottsdale, AZ (took 1 week)
This place creeped me out. I was contacted via a Go Daddy recruiter or a position. The salary discussion was a little above industry standard so a face to face interview was scheduled. I arrived at the Go Daddy HQ located in the Scottsdale airpark and the first thing I immediately noticed was this didn't look like your typical corporate HQ. It was in a single story office suite typically reserved for doctors, lawyers, or Payday Loans. Walking into the lobby you are greeted with a security guard behind a metal cage and several security cameras pointed at you. Seemed just a little different for what should be a high tech company.
I was met by the recruiter and he had me do a IQ test to test for "basic skills". The test was elementary school level, which made me suspicious of the the typical Go Daddy hire. Afterwards I was taken for a tour of the building and two things to mention; the facility was in really poor shape where I was constantly seeing water damage, and they had some prospective Go Daddy girl that they were parading around the office and while I think the commercials used to be funny this was the part of the interview that really skeeved me out. A bunch of acne faces and greasy hair practically groping and posing with the prospective Go Daddy girl.
Anyway, on to the actual interview. Yeah, I'm sure my misgivings were fairly obvious to the panel but it was quickly apparent that I was more qualified than the hiring manager for his role and at one point I questioned the manager when he was describing a project they were working and asked him why they were deviating from best practices... When the manager tried to play it off that I just answered his question by knowing that, one of his reports started chuckling. Yeah, didn't go well. No offer. And the annoying thing was they never contacted me regarding my status afterwards.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Scottsdale, AZ (took a day)
First I was given a phone interview that is very basic to make sure you are what you claim to be on your resume. After that I received a phone interview the the manager who was doing the hiring which was pretty basic and just went over the job requirements and how I would be able to fill them.
After passing the phone interviews I had an on site interview with the a couple of the managers. Before the interview you have to take a 22min IQ test with around 120 questions. All the questions are pretty basic but there are some numeric pattern questions that can catch you off guard. I was unable to finish seeing I skipped a few questions on the way. The time really flies during the test and it is pretty tricky.
The interview consisted of going over my resume and then some behavioral interview questions. Then I was giving a SQL statement case study which I failed because I had used SQL in the past but it had been a year so I was extremely rusty. The rest of the interview went well.
A week and a half later I received an email stating they were offering the position to someone else. I thanked them for the time and inquired what my shortcomings where to help me improve for interviews in the future and they said they wanted someone with more SQL experience.

Interviewed May 2009 in Scottsdale, AZ (took 2 weeks)
The recruiter was an hour later to the interview, which made me a little mad. Also, they gave me an interaction design test to complete (hint: my portfolio should have been enough) and an IQ test (hint: my degree should have been enough). My peers, in the industry, were quite surprised I had to go through all this and commented that they were never subjected to such a process. Of course, this is probably the pride of Go Daddy, but I'm unsure if their methods are due to a lack of understanding or....

Phone interview to start, asked alot of questions about examples of ow I handled different situations. How would you go about debugging a slow running sql query, describe a time when you failed at a project and how you handled it. That yielded an in person interview, with skills assessment and IQ test, followed by a panel interview with 4 technical managers and quizzed about every item on the skills assessment plus some whiteboard time - code a math function in php.
