Interviewed Jul 2011 (took 3 months)
"You decide": There were four separate 1:1 interviews with four different people over a 90 day period for what I finally learned was for a minimum wage position. No, I'm not joking. Midway through this process, I had been unable to obtain a status update regarding my candidacy for the job because my two communication attempts, almost a couple of weeks apart after my second interview, did not yield a response nor had anyone contacted me until after I made my final, third attempt. Yes, I had sent "thank you" correspondence after the interviews. Anyway, I was relieved when I was told after interview #4 that I was not going to be offered the job. It was during interview #4 where I was informed that the minimum wage would be the hourly compensation (or possibly maybe .50 cents an hour more than minimum wage) and regardless of factors such as mall traffic, weather, the lousy economy, etc. employees get "written-up" when they fail to sell enough chocolate and do not meet their quota. I know, it's hard to believe but at least it's a Great Recession-era story I haven't gotten tired of telling yet.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.
