Interview Details – It took forever to get in touch with the hiring manager in order to just get an interview. First interview was very high level and generic with the supervisor. Second interview was with GM and he just wanted to meet me basically.
Interview Question – How do you handle a difficult issue with a customer? Answer Question
Personal Trainer Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
The process took 1 week - interviewed at Gold's Gym.
Interview Details – Good facilitation of group interview called back for second interview same day. Current staff was full of energy, welcoming, and professional. My first interview was with a group of 5 other people but ample time was given to each individual to answer all question. interviewers will ask you to give a brief introduction of your self and current experience before starting the interviewing process.
Interview Question – "what are your plans within tyour first 30days if we offer you the position?"
" what about the next 30days after that?" Answer Question
Assistant Manager Interview (Negative Experience)

Interview Details – Simple Casual Interview...Told I would hear something back in a week and never did. Even did a follow u and never heard anything back. Nice lady but wish she would at least give me a call back
Interview Question – More concerned about sales then managing Answer Question
Kids Club Associate Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Gold's Gym.
Interview Details – I applied online and was contacted 4 days later to set up an interview for the next day. The interview was an easy-average interview. Asked about prior experience with kids, what age groups I am used to caring for, what type of activities do I do with the kids, why I applied for this job/why I want to work here, and how open my schedule is.They made me feel very comfortable and all the employees were very friendly! I got a call back a few days later offering me the job! It is a very easy process, so don't be nervous! Just be yourself!

Interview Details – Questions fitness related and business related. Be yourself, don't be scared.

Be straight forward, try starting as part time first.
Kid's Club Associate Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)

Interview Details – Very nice lady (Mrs. Adams), few questions, calm energy, no need to be nervous

Personal Fitness Trainer Interview (Positive Experience; Difficult Interview)
I interviewed at Gold's Gym in February 2011.
Interview Details – The hiring stage for the Golds Gym in LaGrange, New York was awesome. They made us take ALL of the Golds Gym classes, including spin courses, yoga, zumba, boot camp traing.. all to make sure that the trainers who were applying were all up to date on their own physical fitness. This I had personally found to be a brillant idea.
Interview Question – I would have to say that the most difficult or unexpected question that was asked to me by my golds gym interviwer was, "would you steal another trainers clients or new members that joined the gym but were not assigned to you by our sales people"? Answer Question
Manager Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Gold's Gym in January 2014.
Interview Details – The interview process is simple and fairly normal. I met with the district manager and went through the regular gamut of questions. Once I had interview with him I met with the owners and went through similar questioning. I was able to interview them as well and all of my questions were answered

Very Easy Interview
Kids Club Associate Interview (Positive Experience; Very Easy Interview)
I applied in-person and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Gold's Gym.
Interview Details – Filled out an application online, very lengthy process, was called about a week later for an interview that did not involve answering any questions except if I was good with kids. After filling out appropriate paperwork I had to take a series of tests taken online. It took about an hour.
Interview Question – I was not asked any questions. manager sat there and talked about the position. General manager sat in on the interview for about 2 minutes then left. I was never asked any questions by him. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation phase. take it or leave it.
