Interviewed Oct 2009 in New York, NY (took 4 weeks)
I was interviewed by two people together for 30 minutes. They were really nice and I felt that they were interested to getting to know the junior people they brought in for interviews. Most of the questions were behavioral, and a large portion was about my personaility and teamwork spirits. I am a foreign student, and they specifically asked me about my experience in adapting to the American culture. They were also very open and honest to the questions I asked.

Interviewed May 2008 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
Met the recruiter at the career fair at my university and signed up for an on-campus one on one interview with the recruiter. The interview consisted of simple Java and Database questions and a brain teaser. The next round was on-site in New York, depending on the person's skill set everyone had 3 to 5 45-minutes interviews. My interviews had mostly technical questions about Java and database schema design.

Interviewed Oct 2009 (took a day)
Applied and signed up for interviewing through the on-campus recruiting system. I was originally an alternate but due to a candidate withdrawal I was offered an interview slot. It was a pretty standard interview: 2-on-1. One was an HR rep and another was a salesperson. Asked about background, knowledge of markets, behavioral questions such as how I worked on a team.

Interviewed Jan 2009 in London, England (took a day)
I phone interviewed with one Exec Director and one Associate (together in a conference call). Interview was mainly about motivations. Some questions on my background and the reason I wanted to move to GS and why GS. Interviewers are fair but extremely tough (what a news!). Everything you say has to be very well reasoned. This is not the kind of interview that you do not prepare in advance...

Interviewed Oct 2009 (took a day)
I had a phone interview with a VP and thought it went well. The interviewer seemed organized and knew what he was doing. The questions were all mostly behavioral and fit based and we talked about the experience I had on my resume as well as general stuff about Goldman Sachs and the Operations Division. None of the questions came across as 'trick questions' or questions that you might come across in an IB interview. Interview was just over a week ago, so waiting to hear back from them.

Interviewed Sep 2009 in New York, NY (took 4+ weeks)
My resume made it into a resume book which thankfully made it to a salesperson that covered a hedge fund I interned with. Came into Old Slip office for a superday with 4 different desks and was asked back to 1 NY Plaza to interview with 2 of the desks. Finally, I was asked back for a 3rd time with Corporate Credit Sales. Everyone I interviewed with was extremely personable and seemed interested in who they were bringing in at the junior level. There were no mental math or brainteasers, but they very much hammered the "Why Goldman" question. Obviously be up on the markets and have a view with a reason. In the end I think that my "Why Goldman" wasn't as strong as it should have been and I subsequently did not receive an offer.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Salt Lake City, UT (took a day)
University campus interview 1:1. I was asked about past projects and talk about a problem that was really hard for me to solve. I was asked to write code describing the problem solution to the problem I said was hardest. The interviewer didn't ask for detailed code.
Then, I was asked an SQL question to write a query. Simple.

Interviewed Oct 2009 (took a day)
This is a phone interview experience with Goldman Sachs. The person that interviewed me was an Executive Director who was very laid back. It was pretty much all based on fit questions as well as several questions about Goldman Sachs. Just general stuff, not too complicated. I'm waiting for the next step and will definitely keep everyone posted
