Project Specialist Interview

Average Interview

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Goodwill in September 2011.

Called in for interview. Panel of three people: HR and two directors, one of them being the direct supervisor of the position. Interview lasted less than one hour. Questions were typical behavioral interview questions. They want to know what type of worker you are - are you reliable and dependable. There were no technical questions. Most of the questions were generic and could be found in most interview preparation resources online.

Interview Questions

  • How do you motivate people? (followed by: what type of leader are you?)   Answer Question
  • If you bumped into the stakeholder of one of your projects and they asked how the project was going, what would you say?   Answer Question
  • How many days of work have you missed in the past year? (followed by - how often are you late?)   Answer Question
  • Do you speed? (when driving)   Answer Question

Not much room for negotiating. Very little movement from initial offer, which is a little lower than industry standard for similar positions.
