Interviewed Jan 2010 in Mountain View, CA (took 4+ weeks)
I was surprised at the response time for hearing about the first phone screen - it was something around 2 weeks for a the notice. However, it was a nightmare trying to get a hold of the recruiter after following up twice. Once we finally got on the phone, I advanced through the two interviews without a problem. There were no brain teaser questions - simply, tell me about your background and why do you want to work here. My on-site interview was a completely different story. I had 3 1:1 interviews and for the most part, they consisted of problem-solving questions, hypothetical scenarios to test how you would handle issues within your role and finally, 30 minutes worth of brain teaser questions to test your quantitative skills. I was expecting a few brain teasers and failed the last round by taking too long and providing extraneous, irrelevant details.
