Interviewed Mar 2012 in Burlington, MA (took 3 days)
Sent e-mail to manager at Granite, this was forwarded to temp agency (Insight Global). Recieved phonecall following day from agency, consisted of basic questions and review of job requirements and personal qualifications/experience. Set up interview with staffing recruiter for the following day. Discussed further in detail about the job, was told I was going to be sent on interview @ Granite for the position, and would be in touch within a few days. Before leaving, was sat at a computer and told to fill out my profile with the agency. Sent a follow-up e-mail to the recruiter following the interview, thanking for time and looking forward to hearing back regarding interview date and time details. Recruiter never called back or e-mailed, it has been over 2 weeks. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Granite should look into going through another temp agency.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in North Quincy, MA (took a day)
Meet with the staffing agency that handles all new Granite employees. After meeting with them I was sent to the headquarters in Quincy that day where I interviewed with a manager. That night the recruiter called me and informed me that the job was being offered to me.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Quincy, MA (took 4 days)
My understanding is that nearly all new hires at Granite must first go through temp agency and completed their contract (~3 months) with that temp-agency before they are offered permanent employment. The interview process itself was pretty straight forward, there is was interview with a experienced person at the company lasting ~20 minutes and a second with a manger that lasted ~3 minutes. My temp agency recommended that bring a pad of paper and take notes, and that I read the website in detail, but it's really quite simple: they are a telecom wholesaler. The have contracts with big-name phone companies to get services at a discounted rate, and in exchange they take over administration and billing.
Know what products they offer, know "Premier" means, sell them on the fact that you can handle difficult customers.

Negotiation Details
Good luck negotiating. There is a standard process in place and few people are in position to do thing differently, especially when it comes to hiring temps. The attitude is that you should be happy for an opportunity to get your foot in the door.
