    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Greenbrier Sporting Club (White Sulphur Springs, WV).

    Interview

Be prepared for multiple interviews with HR, managers, and even the general manager. Human Resources may screen first via a phone interview, especially if you are not local. You will have an opportunity to interview with one or more managers in the department that you are applying to work in. You may have a group interview or a 1:1 interview, or both. It depends on who is available to conduct the interview. They prefer that you interview in person, especially if the role you are applying for requires a lot of interpersonal interaction. But if you are a student or applying from out of the area, they may conduct a Skype or phone interview.

    Interview Questions

    • Be prepared to answer common interview questions... why do you want to work here, what you learned in school or from prior work experience, strengths and weakness, etc. The occasional manager will throw in behavioral questions. One manager likes to ask at least one off-the-wall question. There is no right or wrong answer. They want to see how you think when under stress. Know that customer service skills and awareness is very important in the applicant screening process.   Answer Question
