Interviewed Oct 2010 in New York, NY (took 2 months)
I had one interview with HR and one person in department, then was given a writing project. Was told I made a good impression by HR and came back in for a second interview with a hiring manager. Thought it went well... and then nothing, crickets. Weeks went by, and I contacted HR because I was leaving the country for two weeks and wanted to see if there were any updates. It wasn't until a full MONTH later that I was told the position was filled from within. Was brought back a couple of months later for a different position in the same division. Hiring manager told me she heard great things and we seemed to hit it off. Sent thank you notes, etc. and once again, radio silence. I'd contact HR every few weeks and get told I was still being considered. It wasn't until THREE MONTHS later, when I told them I needed an answer because I received another job offer, that I was told they changed the job spec. It's a shame because the people seemed really smart and personable and the brand is so prestigious and I would have loved to work on projects related to such high-quality programming. But having the hiring process drag out that much and being kept in the dark was frustrating.
