The process took a day - interviewed at HBOS in December 2009.

Interview Details – Online app, very simple, a 2 question aptitude test. The interview was competency based, also requiring some limited knowledge of HBOS and the role itself. If you fail they either had a very large number of apps or you are doing something very very seriously wrong.

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at HBOS in May 2010.

Interview Details – Applied online and did a multiple answer personality test. Vaguley ok, contradictory but that's by design.
Was then invited to do a numbers test online, mostly averages and %, number handling test on a time limit.
After that I was invited for a 1 to 1 interview and the local branch which took about 1h 20min
